About this house rental
Nestled in Camden, this attractive house for $257 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. Built in 1850, remodeled in 1989 for a comfortable lifestyle, all on one floor! Right across the street from Rockport Opera house, with a sunny southern exposure and a wrap around porch. Walk easily to 18 Central and the Nina June Cafe in the same block. This would be a great house to rent while taking a class at The Center for Furniture Craftsmanship or the Maine Media Workshop. Perfect too for attending the Bay Chamber concerts right across the street in the Opera House or at Union Hall . The house has a number of comfy chairs for sitting and reading, and a desk situated next to a window overlooking the harbor for writing. It is a restful house, but there are plenty of adventures to be had in the surrounding Camden hills or inland- day sails on a schooner, hiking, kayaking. Our two bedrooms each open onto the kitchen/dining area, and each has a full bathroom. Each one has an air conditioner, although it is rarely needed. How many times we visited here in the summer, leaving a hot steamy Boston, and found Rockport chilled by a fog bank. Mom would say, 'Always bring a sweater when you come to Maine!' This house is perfect for two couples on a getaway weekend, or as a home base during a longer visit to New England. We have all the linens you need, and a well supplied kitchen for cooks. Soap is supplied as well as access to washer and dryer.

Perfect size for 2 couples. The views of the harbor are gorgeous and we really enjoyed our stay in this quaint New England home! The beds were comfortable and lots of closet space. The kitchen was fully equipped to make meals. The desk was useful for one member of our party who had to do some work. Ruth was a very attentive and a wonderful hostess.

Lovely home overlooking a beautiful harbor. The house is very well appointed. Fully equipped kitchen with everything you could need, plenty of towels, and hangers in the closets. Highly recommend 18 Central in Rockport for dinner. Very close to Camden (about 1 mile) for restaurants and shopping. Great home if you want to enjoy the Maine coast.

The cottage was perfectly located. It was comfortable and cozy. The kitchen had all the necessary equipment to make cooking an occasional meal easy.Ruth was a charming hostess. We had fabulous weather. We will definitely return.

Ruth’s home in Rockport was perfect! The stunning views from the large wrap around porch, the tastefully decorated rooms, the big dining room, the well equipped kitchen all contributed to our fantastic weekend at Ruth’s beautiful home. The attention to detail in every aspect made this property a true home away from home.

Had a wonderful few days with my brothers. Have stayed at this house before and it always lovely. The house is so welcoming and clean. The views are fantastic. Close to everything. I definitely would recommend it and will definitely stay again.

The home was truly a taste of New England with its design, interior, antiques and colors. We enjoyed the home and how well equipped it was and Ruth, the owner , was a gem!!! She even brought us vegetables from her garden!

Great place to stay in the middle of the state able to drive up and down the state. Beautiful view from the porch and can walk to the harbor. 2 bathrooms and 2seperate living areas which was nice. Owner had great communication with us and it was clean and comfortable

Very nice quaint Rockport home in excellent location. Very picturesque harbor and surroundings. Many nice short walks. Nicely located short distance to Camden, Rockland, and Belfast. Great fooding from gormet to seafood takeout. Comfortable home plenty of room and more for the four of us.

This property was very comfortable, exactly as described and had everything anyone could need. We did a good bit of cooking and it had a well-equipped kitchen. We would definitely stay here again.

This home is well equipped and comfortable, with a great view of the Rockport Harbor. The Host goes above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable, informed of the area, and friendly! Perfect location to enjoy Rockland, Camden and Owls Head. And a east drive to get to places like Freeport, and Acadia National Park.

A wonderful, historical and cozy house in the most gorgeous of settings. This was our second year and we are returning again next year. Although there are ample restaurants in striking distance we love buying local seafood & produce, cooking at home and eating in the screened in porch. This is the place for a mellow and rich holiday.

We rented this house to explore the mid coast of Maine. This property had nice views of Rockport Harbor as well as a great central location for visits to Moosehead Lake, Boothbay Harbor , Freeport , Camden and Manchester. The owners go above and beyond to supply you with everything you need to have a relaxing vacation. The house is exactly as advertised

Great house great location
The house is very conveniently located to most every place you want to go. ie Camden, Rockport harbor and two sensational restaurants directly across the street. We especially enjoyed daily afternoon cocktail on the balcony overlooking the beautiful harbor. The home is very well equipped with everything there is to do in this beautiful area. The real star of our vacation was the this wonderful home.

Great House in a Great Town
The house was spacious and clean and beautifully landscaped - we had everything we needed, and more. It was right across the street from the Opera House and had a wrap-around deck with views of the Rockport harbor. Lots to do - climbing, hiking, even rowing in Camden harbor. You won't go wrong with this place - we would come back, and probably will!

The home is a classic -- cozy, warm, charming, clean, and neat. The wide pine flooring with antique nails was beautiful -- from an age gone by. The view from the spacious front porch of Rockport harbor is postcard-worthy. The location is ideal for sightseeing, shopping, and dining on the central ME cost. Ruth was a warm and gracious host. We're already planning a return trip next year.
