The property is located inside the castle and is absolutely gorgeous, with beautiful stone features throughout the room that really add to its character. Our room was large and spacious, with a generously sized bathroom and a small private courtyard.
The property was very clean and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The location is excellent, especially as the castle is one of the main attractions in town, and there are plenty of restaurants within easy walking distance. The cathedral is also right outside the property.
There are many steep and quite slippery stairs leading to the rooms. There is an elevator available, which I would definitely recommend using if you’re not comfortable with the stairs. I actually slipped during our stay and hurt my tailbone, so please be careful.
The cathedral directly outside was very busy with weddings during our stay, which meant we often walked out of the property straight into large groups of people. While the central location is excellent, I personally found the crowds immediately outside a little frustrating.
Another thing to be aware of is that cars cannot always access the area directly outside the property. At certain times, you may need to be dropped off further away and drag your luggage through the piazza to reach the hotel, which can be inconvenient, especially with heavy bags.

Hotel Corte Villa was a wonderful place to stay, away from the crowds, which made the experience even more relaxing and special. My family absolutely loved it, and we would definitely come back!
The staff were incredibly helpful and kind, and they went out of their way to help make a beautiful birthday surprise for my sister. We truly appreciated their hospitality. I highly recommend this place!

it’s character, charm and position
no bar and so could not get an aperitif before the restaurant opened at 20.00
it was Saturday night and the youngsters outside were very noisy
