Excellent location and free parking (thankfully we got one of the few spaces). The hotel was comfortable, the staff were friendly and the breakfast was good.
It's a little 'faded glory' in places and is a little tired once you get past the lovely entrance and stairway, but it's perfectly fine for a few days.

This hotel is in a brilliant central location, with a convenient bar and beautiful staircase. I frequently travel to Inverness to see family and the location was the biggest attraction of this hotel.
Unfortunately, I think I was given what can only be described as a 'dud' room, having checking in at 9pm. It was on the ground floor in a corridor off the main reception and immediately next to the laundry/cleaning room. This meant that I was frequently disturbed in the early hours by the swing doors opening and closing. It was room 130, so do avoid if you are offered this one. It was also a bit smelly in the bathroom, with tired decor and reminded me of staff accommodation, rather than justifying the price I had paid. I asked to move rooms for my final night, but there was no availability. (Later, I was offered a cancellation room, but remained in 130 as I was leaving for an early flight.)
