This is a REAL hotel. An old fashioned place with fine sweeping staircases. The room was fine and spacious and quiet. The bed was comfortable.
Breakfast was not the “Breakfast included” that Booking.com boasted. It was a miserable “continental one. Anything cooked was an extra tenner.
Service was ghastly, tables bare and barely cleaned. It was a DIY greasy spoon cafe. Such a shame.

Helpful staff, excellent location
Breakfast was poor. Bare tables, unsmiling staff, only wooden stirrer, no teaspoons with coffee. Cooked breakfast - all ingredients appeared to have been frozen/precooked. Nothing fresh. Pretty tasteless.

Location excellent right next to train station. Staff friendly and helpful.
The bedroom was shabby and bathroom needed repainting. Neither bedside light worked.

Breakfast room was amazingly old and food was fine. Lovely breakfast staff.
Bathroom was falling apart, curtains need washing. I understand it is old, but it is as uncomfortable looking at.
