Friendly staff. Very well appointed room, good size and everything I needed was there. I like that we could use the breakfast area to eat a snack and that both drinks and food was available in the evening.
The area around was not great though that didn't matter once you've got into the hotel.

I liked the location, room, and check in greeting. The room was very good value for money, very comfortable, more spacious than it appeared when booking, and the bathroom was very nice and spacious. Only minor complaint was the ironing board being too short.
The lift was hilariously overengineered, which is a problem I'm sure the staff are well aware. The stairway felt neglected and a little dodgey. Given the latter was usable without a key, anyone could ascend or decend, the lift's security requirement to scan the key before pressing any button seemed redundant. I didn't like the presentation of the scrambled eggs, they looked like they wet themselves. The check out felt dismissive compared to the check in. Finally, on a personal level, I would like to see a little green anywhere in the hotel, I noticed it was completely absent in the reception and canteen.
