We had a lovely stay , we did have a problem with our room the first night , due to a loud humming noise , that kept us awake most off the night , but when we told staff in following morning they apologized and moved us and upgraded us to Premier room , we slept really well after then , the food was very good and the staff very helpful and kind

Room was dated but way too hot! I requested a fan as I am unable to sleep and I was given a fan heater as they didn’t do proper fans!
What hotel in this day and age doesn’t have fans for its guests when the is no air conditioning!?

The staff at the hotel working on the breakfast were very good with what they had. The hotel was very tired, particularly the rooms with mould around the metal windows. The dining room ceiling was leaking in the rain and the loos needed an update and the standard rooms by modern standards were quite small. It was overpriced for what it was.

Warm and welcoming staff. Comfortable relaxed atmosphere. Clean bedrooms. Bonus of leisure facilities. Have stayed here numerous times and never had any problems. Have tried a couple of other hotels in Swindon but this hotel tops them.

The hotel is very old and dated. Evening meal was very average. Reception lady should learn to smile! Good pool, pool/gym guy was helpful and friendly

Comfortable stay. The bathrooms have been modernised but quite small. Room was decent though. Bathroom could be cleaner, saw little hairs here and there.

The staff here are very friendly and cannot do enough for you. Check in was quick and efficient and they met our request to have adjacent rooms.
We had a comfortable nights sleep and breakfast was very good too. This was a half way meet up with family and we will definitely return again.
Shout out to lovely lady at the pool, the restaurant team Saturday night (2nd March), reception team this was a very friendly hotel.

The blinds let so much light through it illuminated my room. I had to hang towels on the room to be able to get sleep.

Hotel was a good price. New carpets throughout. Rooms were average but clean. Terrible pillows. Took the front desk clerk 3 attempts to try and make a room key that worked and ultimately had to have the staff reprogram the door (after I’d walked back and forth multiple times). The staff told me the price of breakfast was £6.95 but when I went to pay was charged £16.95. Decent breakfast but not worth the price.

It was great to have an entirely separate Gluten Free area at breakfast with a separate GF toaster. All food on the buffet was marked up as GF or not.

Parking was easy at this hotel which was great, but when I checked in I was told that there would be an additional surcharge for my dog which I hadn’t been made aware of at any point prior to my journey. The room was well decorated and comfortable but in the evening became clear the sink was leaking underneath. I opted for breakfast the next morning and it was nothing to rave about but the evening room service was lovely if not a bit overpriced.

We enjoy our stay, the pool and sauna were very good although we think the fact the saunas were separated into male and female should be stated when booking.
We enjoyed a meal in the hotel one evening , it was very nice and the service was exellent although being charged £9 for a glass of wine was a bit much.
Overall a very enjoyable stay.

Great hotel with friendly staff, Starting to show its age in places. Cigarette burn in the bath and some of the sockets were not working.
Unfortunately our room was next to a mid corridor fire door that banged every time someone went through it and it work me up.
Great price and location for me so couldn't complain too much. I left before breakfast was served so couldn't comment on the food.

Room spotless. Hotel clean but communal areas tired and standard of decoration in corridors poor. Bathroom tiny and cramped. Stayed in a premium room expected a lot bigger.

We were met with a warm welcome at Reception and a straight forward booking in process. Asked to complete our car reg details on the desk tablet to avoid having to pay a charge and swiftly on our way to our room. There didn’t appear to be a lift but that wasn’t a problem for us. The room was very spacious with tea/coffee and biscuits provided. There was also a small fridge in the room which was a bonus. The bathroom was clean and tidy and the shower was big. The water was hot but the water pressure was not very good. It just meant washing shampoo out took a little longer but no big problem. The shampoo, body wash and body lotion were a nice touch and left us smelling and feeling clean and fresh.
We also used the swimming pool which was a glorious 30c. Unfortunately the spa was out of action but it didn’t spoil our use of the facilities. The changing rooms were both clean and tidy with a sauna, toilet and showers provided in both the male and females. There was also a gym available but we didn’t use it on this occasion.
Overall a really pleasant stay at Holiday Inn Swindon and we would recommend it if you’re looking for a place to stay just a short drive from the designer outlet mall.

We have stayed at this hotel a few times now. We return because of the location - easy access from the M4 and excellent base for the area; plenty of free parking spaces; comfortable rooms and beds; the breakfast (always a plus when it is included in the room rate) - wide choice of continental and English breakfast foods / drinks, plus waffles, pancakes, omelettes made to order; the pool - lovely warm way to start the day with an early morning swim, jacuzzi and sauna if you wish; the staff - we have come to know staff members who greet us warmly and eagerly await our return. Thank you once again for a super stay!

What we liked about the property was the staff. Everyone was pleasant, helpful and attentive.

We used the Hotel as a mid point for our family journeys from 3 different parts of the country. Lovely comfy beds in a small room. Clean and well maintained. A mini fridge would have been a great addition but there was food available all day in the restaurant which had a surprisingly good menu.

Bedrooms were clean and tidy, bed linen and towels bright white and fresh.
But the corridors were very tired, woodwork battered and chipped, and white paint well past its best.
Breakfast was ok, although only skimmed milk for cereals!
However the food we had in the restaurant for evening meal was mediocre at best, the burger was overcooked and as dry as the Sahara, with almost no ‘sauce’ present. I was hungry, but this was a struggle to eat! Things here need to improve.

Check in was muddled as I booked 3 rooms but didn't explain to some guests that their names were in the booking so my room was already allocated when i arrived. When it was sorted the staff were amazing and offered us a free breakfast. Travelled with a disabled family member. The hotel is old. The rooms were small but comfortable and clean. Staff at the bar and in the restaurant were so attentive. We had dogs in our group and we were welcomed to a separate dining area where we were well looked after. Evening menu really surprisingly good. Breakfast varied abd enjoyable. Swimming pool was clean. When getting our disabled family member into the Jacuzzi we were encouraged and offered support. Gym well equipped. Lovely place to meet up and stay.

The room was comfortable and clean. Confusion over check in time as hotels.com stated different time. Poolside was dirty for the two days we stayed and the female changing rooms were clearly not cleaned through the day. Confusing rules about under 16’s and parental supervision. Ie; 8-16 year olds need to use their sex changing room and be supervised by a parent . So if you have a make 14 year old and you are female you wouldn’t be able to supervise him in the changing room.

Good location, just outside town centre area so fairly quiet. We used the pool extensively as our grandson is a keen swimmer and access was good

No lift so not convenient with young children. Nighttime receptionist was unhelpful. It says breakfast to 10am but stopped at 930am. Breakfast was therefore a rush as we got there at 920am. They said take what you want now as they are clearing up. It was overcooked at this point, lack of options and plates were burning hot.
Overall a poor experience.
