I'm not sure why, but I thought the hotel was much larger when looking online. We were pleasantly surprised that it was more like a small boutique hotel. Check in is 3pm, we arrived at 12.15pm I went to reception to advise we were there and would be leaving the car and grabbing a Uber into town (we were there for the food and drink festival). The gentleman on reception said our rooms were ready, he checked us in and we went on our way. There is an area with comfy sofas, table and chairs and a log burner where you can bring food in from the local take aways, there are plates, knives and forks etc, you can also take food and eat in your room. As the hotel doesn't have a restaurant it states it doesn't serve breakfast but gives names of local cafes. We were very surprised to find a breakfast welcome basket in our room, with 2 pots of porridge, 2 pano chocolat, 2 apples, Twinnings Breakfast Tea, Coffee and 4 packages of 2 biscuits.
I would 100% go back.
The only criticism we had was the beds (which were bigger than a Superking) had spring coil mattresses , my hips were sore for a few hours. We are used to sleeping on Memory foam mattresses at home and haven't slept on coil mattresses for a few years.

The property was ok the location was great
It was on a main road and was very noisy so as it was very hot we roasted as couldn’t have the windows open
