Our unit overlooked the water, it was an older style but very clean and comfortable. Staff were super friendly. We very much enjoyed our stay.

We booked here last minute, as our flights home were cancelled due to the war in the Middle East, and we ended up with another week in NZ before our new flights. The studio we had, number 4, had a balcony overlooking the bay. The studio was large, clean and well equipped. The furniture was a bit old fashioned, but in great repair. The bed was very comfortable, there was a good little kitchen, and the shower was great- the strongest water pressure during our stay in Nz. The manager was very friendly and helpful. The beach opposite the motel was lovely- long, sandy and never busy. It was about five minutes walk into town, and I think a better location than being in the busy centre.
There is a step up into the shower cubicle, which didn’t bother us, but might be hard if someone had poor mobility.
