We had a very relaxed stay in this lovely family run hotel, our room with a dedicated space for luggage was comfortable. It had air conditioning, good wifi, 2 beds, wardrobe, TV, desk and chairs and a good bathroom with a great shower. Outside the balcony with furniture was a nice place to enjoy an afternoon drink and the view over the small town. There is a shared fridge available and lovely shared outdoor space in the garden. We ate a lovely traditional meal in the in house restaurant. Our host was fantastic from start to finish very friendly and accommodating. Dedicated parking spaces.
Stopping here in this small town gave us the opportunity to relax in the local community and if required revisit the Monastery. This is a cash only hotel and a cash only town.

Check in and check out was super friendly. Location was close to amenities. Room was clean and tidy.
Very limited menu. Proprietor seemed very busy. Had to ask for drinks after meal was served. Baklava or ice cream on offer for dessert despite lots more on the menu.

The location is excellent - in Rila village and 20 km from the monastery. The hotel itself is nice and rustic, with outdoor space under the grapevines for relaxing or for meals. Rooms are very good, with balcony with a view. The guy who runs the hotel for his grandparents, David, is very friendly and helpful. Hotel parking right in front of the hotel.
A minor issue is that the rooms don’t have an electric kettle nor a fridge.
