Como Cottage Accommodation

The garden and comfortable bed.

Ground a bit uneven at times.

Enchanting setting, loved the kookie fairy garden feel. Very charming. Cozy cottage, so well appointed and equipped. Amazing shower. Lovely breakfast.

The bed could have been 6” longer - but I was warned in advance! Needs a tea strainer.

Lots of breakfast items; host was very concerned about our concerns, he really took our feedback to heart

It just was not what we were expecting or needing that weekend.

Mills Cottage - This stay takes you back in time. Old timber paired with terracotta brick flooring and an old fireplace. Brass/gold DUAL tap fittings and stain glass windows everywhere. Instant hot water. The bedroom is up some polished wooden stairs. It has a retro retrofitted kitchen with an old 1920s stove you have to self light. An alcove dining table with a mini prep table situated in the middle of thw kitchen. The host was a lovely chap and helped us out greatly. There was complimentary eggs, bacon, bread, yoghurt, milk, juice, butter etc for our breakfasts while we stayed. The location is excellent for visiting anywhere around the dandenong ranges. My partner really loved the character and oddities and potential this cottage had.

The spring mattress was stiff and the steel bed frame was a bit flimsy. Any movement jostles the whole bed. Some of the cushions, blankets, mats etc could use a clean/replacement as there was a slight acrid smell hovering around similar to cat urine. Otherwise, the sheets and towels were laundered well and everything else was great.
