Check-in was smooth and the reception staff were very welcoming. We had a good-sized family room with a shared bathroom, and the shared kitchen and bathroom had all the basic amenities we needed. The room was fairly basic but it did the job for the night. We appreciated the location as it is conventient for stopping at the end of the day after touring the Golden Circle, before heading on to the South Coast.
The curtains let in quite a lot of light in the evening, and there was a really obnoxious drip from the roof onto the connected balcony which kept us up. We ended up having to put a rolled-up towel to muffle the sound, then wrung it out in the morning.

The host was very friendly and nice. There is an outdoor hot tub although we didn't get to enjoy it. The bed sheets and towels are clean and white. There are friendly dogs.
The room is steaming warm in the summer. There is no AC. Even if we want to open the window, it is not recommended because there is no screen! There is only one washroom with the toilet and shower, and it is shared among three rooms. The washroom is moldy. No sink in the bedroom. There is no kitchen. This will be a pleasant place to stay if a major renovation is done.
