The Belle Rive is in an excellent location overlooking the Mekong River. What makes this hotel stand out from others, is the exceptional staff - especially the restaurant crew. Nothing was too much trouble. Our room was spacious, comfortable and well appointed. It was an absolute pleasure staying at this hotel.

Sehr freundliches Personal, offenbar deutsch/schweizer Besitzer. Überaus hilfsbereite Mitarbeiter. Individuelles Frühstück (bis 12 Uhr!) im schön gelegenen Terassenrestaurant gegenüber am Mekong. Sundowner-Bootstour und Minibarinhalt inklusive. Klare Empfehlung für dieses Hotel.
Beim Checkout wurde von mir eine zusätzliche Steuer verlangt, obwohl diese lt. Booking.com im Buchungspreis inklusive. Nach meiner Intervention wurden diese Zusatzlosten storniert. Alles muss in USD bezahlt werden > bei Kreditkartenzahlung wurde zusätzlich ein Aufschlag von 2,5% verlangt > habe ich nicht akzeptiert, weil vorher nicht bekannt.

The hotel is beautiful. The location is perfect. A 5 minute walk to everywhere you want to go. The staff are amazing-very helpful and they do a great job. Free minibar. Free snacks. Free sunset cruise with a glass of wine! The breakfast on the terrace overlooking the Mekong was fabulous. Honestly the best croissant I've ever had. Ditto the chicken satay. Great bikes to use. I would recommend this place in a heartbeat and I hope to come back!

Everything was charming, relaxed and beyond expectations. The staff were incredible and friendly.
I’m lucky enough to have travelled extensively, and this has to be one of my happiest holidays, due in no small part to this wonderful hotel, and the staff who go the extra mile.
I hope to find myself here again someday soon.

The staff were kind and helpful and i appreciated all the touches to help make my stay more comfortable—complimentary mini bar drinks, restaurant delivery to room, glass bottles and portable water bottles and very comfortable bed. Also, the complimentary sunset cruise was a lovely surprise even though the smoke prevented us from seeing much scenery.
The smoke in the city made it difficult to be outside all day.

The hotel was well located, had a beautiful restaurant on the river. Breakfast was good, especially the coffee and homemade granola. We liked that they provided reusable bottles for water to reduce use of plastic.
The room was fine but nothing special given the price. The bed was not comfortable, and there was a lot of noise from the street. Also, the minute we arrived one of the staff started pushing overpriced trips (several of which we did later at much lower cost). And when we did use the hotel to arrange transportation, we overpaid.

Definitely the bed outdated. A boutique hotel so charming must have a modern comfortable double bed (king or queen size) instead of a two-mattress solution which we found very uncomfortable. The room was dusty and unfortunately I had trouble with my allergy to the dust.

Very cosy and charming little boutique Hotel right on the road in front the river.
Beautiful terrace with the river view where is served the breakfast a la carte and where is possible to have lunch and dinner. Menu is great and well presented.
Nothing really, but at my arrival they give me a 2 single beds instead of a double bad room which although nice looked pretty small. When we asked the staff was so nice to immediately upgrade us to a suite.
The rode in front is very quiet during the night time but the few motorbikes can be distinctly heard from the bedroom even with the windows closed.

The Belle Rive is an upscale hotel right in the center of Luang Prabang along the river. It is across the street from the river, but the street is relatively quiet, the views are lovely from the room balcony and their nice restaurant is on the river side along with an area with chaise lounges to watch the river traffic float by. We were treated to a complimentary sunset cruise that was delightful. The staff was extremely welcoming and helpful. The room was huge and gorgeous. You can walk everywhere easily and the hotel will arrange a tuk tuk to the airport for you (and maybe from--we didn't arrive by plane.)

The Belle Rive Boutique Hotel is set in the heart of Luang Prabang Old Town, just off the Mekong River. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable, with perks such as a free beer, enchanting decor and a neat view of the river. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, organising various taxis, transfers and activities during our stay, with knowledgeable eating options too. The food at the hotel is delectable, especially the breakfast, and the outdoor setting to eat and sup a tasty morning coffee are super. The added free sunset boat tour is a lovely way to end the day! Almost the perfect stay!!
Being on the road, there is a bit of noise from traffic, which doesn’t necessarily make for the idyllic, peaceful stay! it is tricky to escape this, considering the ideal location, but that’s the only minor gripe we have!

we love the atmosphere of the hotel with old style house and especially you can take a look at the river in the morning when you wake up, it was total breathtaking for us. the location it’s not that far from the central, so you can easily walk to everywhere. the staff very helpful and friendly

The hotel staff was under staffed but not to any fault of the hotel.. its was just a personal issue.. but the people who were working worked so hard to fill the gaps that if really feel bad evening saying anything about the issue

The Belle Rive is a beautiful hotel, but it was the staff there that made my stay so enjoyable. Friendly, helpful and efficient, always greeting you with a smile, and nothing was too much trouble for them. It was a pleasure to talk with them every day and learn more about Laos, and they spoke English well. They went to a lot of effort to help me one evening when I had real trouble finding transport and working out where an address was. The hotel itself is elegant, and the rooms are comfortable, like the hotel they are in a French colonial style. I thought it might be noisy as it faces onto a road that can be busy, but with the shutters and windows shut at night it was quiet and peaceful. The breakfasts, served by the banks of the Mekong River, were wonderful, with Western or Asian food options: fresh baguettes and croissants, excellent coffee, tropical fruit, coconut yoghurt, fried rice - and many more. Highly recommended!

Great experience! Great and attentive staff...always smiling! We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The food was great! The breakfast and the food we had was really tasty and served in a wonderful terrace over the Mekong (I still fell that papaya salad in my mouth -and my tongue!-Ahahah). It's been a true pleasure our breakfast or "aperitivo" here! The room are big (we had the one without balcony) but the view is amazing. The hotel is really clean and the room has got the "older time", colonialist look that perfectly matches with the city. The position is great, quiet but central: the morning monk procession is right behind the hotel (we tried different spot, and this seems to be the most authentic and non- touristic place). With a short walk you can reach everything (wat xieng thong, night market) and you can also use the free bike (great way to see luang prabang!). Great plus: Free fresh water at the reception!!! And they also can help you to rent a scooter (10 $ per day is a good price!). We also used they laundry service! Super super cheap and fast (1.88$ for little more than 1kg).
Maybe they could add a brioche or some french cake (especially for international tourists that are used to have a sweet breakfast) since they are a nice reminiscence of the past in luang Prabang, and they could add charm to the breakfast of this hotel. There are so many bakery in LP!In any case the warm baguette with butter and jam is really GREAT!

Every member of staff was courteous and helpful. Room was well decorated, location was superb, breakfast was good and they allowed me to park my motorcycle inside
Hot water in shower took some getting use too, maybe more comfortable chairs in the room. But over all no complaints
