I loved the pretty country inn and its peaceful rural setting. The room and bathroom were a good size, the beds were firm but comfortable, and the food was really enjoyable. It was a lovely spot for a spontaneous couple of days away and, despite a few niggles, we had a genuinely enjoyable stay.
The heating system was the biggest disappointment. Being on a timer meant the room was cold on arrival and never really stayed warm for long. Our room was also directly above the bar, so noise travelled upstairs, and the thin walls meant we could hear more than we'd have liked. The Biscoff cheesecake was another letdown, particularly at £8.50 for such a small, dry slice.

Beautifully built/restored; set in gorgeous countryside; spotlessly clean; superbly decorated.
Nothing.

There was nothing you could fault about this place. It felt homely, it was clean and the staff were very helpful. We had an offer which included breakfast through Booking.com, and it was fantastic value for money. We stayed 3 nights, and eat there every night. The food is amazing, particularly if you are GF . I shall be returning.
Nothing we didn’t like.
