The Queen's Inn

The accommodation was very good and the location was an excellent base for exploring all the attractions (eg historic houses & gardens) in the Kent Sussex border area. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was very good.

Whilst the food was very good (mentioned above), we thought there were some issues with it. The dinner menu was pretty expensive and the quantity of food was limited. For example I had the lamb (at £32) but it only came with a 3 very small pieces of lamb on a huge bed of cous-cous (I think it was cous-ous). More lamb and less cous-cous would have been more appropriate for the price charged. Breakfast was good but it appeared (from the menu offering) that if we had the cooked breakfast that there was no cereal or fruit juice offering. We asked for fruit juices, which we got (at no extra cost), but we are no the wiser about whether we could have had cereal as well. Most B&Bs offer cereal/yoghurt and fruit juice before the main cooked meal and it was disappointing that this didn't seem to be the case here.

Lovely luxurious ‘inn’ - with such friendly people. Lovely food, and sumptuous breakfast as well.

Lovely quiet room which was a decent size. It was very clean and the bathroom was down some stairs (room 7) which I thought was cute but can imagine some people won’t like it if needing to use it during the night. Great selection of breakfast options.

The English breakfast was ok taste wise but not great - e.g beans seemed to be cold straight out of a tin and the sausage was dry and over cooked.
