Maclean Hotel

Location was walking distance to everything in town. The place recommended by staff for breakfast was great. Would stay again.

This hotel was a pleasant surprise - four couples on a birthday weekend staying overnight in MacLean - we had four double rooms booked and ended up being the only guests upstairs . The rooms were basic but very clean with bar fridge kettle , two bottles of water and milk for tea or coffee. In the common areas you had access to a complete kitchen set up if you wished . All rooms were slightly different facing out into the common verandahs or interior . The bathrooms had been newly renovated and were spotless ( both men’s and women’s) with soap and shampoo dispensers. Fluffy white towels and clean comfortable beds. We bought some drinks at the bar and had them on the top verandah. There is ample parking out the back and the lower back deck looks directly onto the magnificent river.

Our room smelled of smoke when we arrived and needed a good airing - there was a full ashtray on the veranda outside the room. My friend in the room next door was kept awake by the large refrigerator unit on the wall near her room.

Beautiful historic building overlooking the river, with fireplaces in main area lovely to enjoy. Natural warmth in rooms. Fridge and kettle in spacious room. Lovely lounge fridge dining with microwave. Very close to shops and transport. The pub offers great meals at a good price. Staff extremely helpful.

The room was very clean The particular room was beside the kitchen/ Loungeroom which was light up all night and the patrons were noisy There is a window above the door and into the loungeroom also which lets the noise and light through into room 14 not enough blankets as there is no heating the room was cold I got what i paid for as the place was very clean throughout but not to my expectation thanks again
