Our room was clean , comfortable and well equipped. Loved the sea view. We liked the position of the hotel, in the centre of the village. The food was good. We appreciated the free parking pass for the NT car park. The staff were very friendly. The undercover terrace along the front of the hotel is a welcome addition and very good idea. Great to sit and relax and watch the world go by.
There was nothing we didn’t like except to mention that in the room we had, there were two steps down into the bathroom and so a hand rail would be helpful, especially for elderly guests.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A very special 80th birthday at The Ship Inn, Aberdaron
We recently celebrated my mum’s 80th birthday at The Ship Inn in Aberdaron, and I honestly couldn’t praise Alun and his fantastic team enough.
From the moment we arrived, they looked after us brilliantly. Nothing was too much trouble — and with a family gathering for an 80th birthday, I’m fairly sure we gave them plenty of opportunities to test that theory! 😂
Alun and the team were warm, friendly, attentive and incredibly accommodating. Everything was handled with such good humour and genuine care, which meant we could simply relax, enjoy ourselves and concentrate on making a fuss of Mum — exactly as it should be.
The food was lovely, the atmosphere was great, and the service was absolutely spot on. It’s the little things that make a special occasion memorable, and the team seemed to think of all of them before we did.
Mum had a wonderful 80th birthday, we made some very happy family memories, and a huge part of that was down to the way we were looked after.
A massive thank you to Alun and everyone at The Ship Inn. You helped make a milestone birthday really special. We’ll definitely be back — although perhaps we’ll give you a little time to recover from us first! 😂🥂🎂
Highly recommended — especially if you want somewhere that genuinely understands how to look after people. ❤️
