Normale Unterkunft im hochpreisigen Segment

Booking.com fragt, war das Frühstück schön? Antwort: Es gab leider kein Frühstück, aber das war uns schon bekannt vorm buchen. Es hat uns nicht gefallen, denn bei diesem Preis sollte normalerweise was dabei sein, das der Tag gut beginnt. Ok, was solls! Chef der Unterkunft war freundlich und hat den Koffer ins Zimmer gebracht. Runter tragen am nächsten Tag mussten dann wir Urlauber. Parking ok, für 3 Autos ist Platz. W-LAN, Betten, Balkon m. Blick auf die Bucht und Nachtruhe akzeptabel.

Das Preis Leistung Verhältnis war im Vergleich zu den anderen Unterkünften auf unserer Rundreise durch Montenegro mehr als sehr schlecht. Zum Bsp. Hotel Sokoline in Orašje oder Hotel Meridian in Budva, (beide 4 Sterne) hatten weniger Euro für eine Nacht verlangt und das sogar mit sehr gutem Frühstück. Die Gründe: Nachsaison! Vielleicht will man sehr schnell reich werden, anders kann man es nicht beurteilen. Die gute Nähe zum Wasser kann es doch nicht sein, oder ?!!! Die Unterkunft ist nicht einfach zu finden, da das Appartement "ohne Namen" ist. Uns wurde auf Google Maps verwiesen... wenn man Internet im Auto haben sollte !!! Das Navi hatte es, aber trotzdem ging es ohne Erfolg an der Unterkunft vorbei. Mit Hilfe von Nachbarn wurde nach einer Stunde das Guesthouse Grotta Di Nicola gefunden. Beschwerlicher Zugang zum Zimmer, schmaler Treppenaufgang mit viele Stufen, mit Koffer letztendlich eine Herausforderung. Erster Eindruck der Innenausstattung, auf keinen Fall "Deluxe", es "bröckelt" der Putz, WC - Bereich feuchter Boden schon vor dem duschen, Duschkopf Halterung ist nur für große Menschen gedacht, Sauberkeit in den Ecken und Kanten nicht ganz "Deluxe"! Alles in allem, ok für Leute die mal eine Nacht in der Bucht von Kotor übernachten wollen. Es ist aber besser für diesen Preis ein Hotel zu buchen mit Frühstück. Wir wollten ursprünglich in das Hotel Per Astra in Perast. Die Hochzeitssuite war leider ausgebucht, hätte uns ca. 20 € mehr gekostet, aber mit Hervorragendes Frühstück inbegriffen.

Incredible view from the balcony

A great base in Kotor for our 4 night stay in October. The balcony was the highlight, such a fantastic view! The hosts were friendly and recommended a few local restaurants in addition to offering a parking space infront of the property.

The shower leaked all over the bathroom as there's no shower door which was a slight inconvenience!

Amazing views with lovely hosts and a private beach.

Amazing location with one of the best views in the bay. It is away from the crowds of Kotor but between a 30-40 minute walk away. The family could not be more welcoming or helpful. Get the sea view! There is a private small beach that you can swim off and a table where you can enjoy a drink in the evening. Good local restaurants under a 5 minute walk away plus a mini market about 10 minutes walk away. Basic kitchen stocked enough to cook simple meals. Comfy, soft, bed.

Nothing major, it is a real find. Relatively steep steps if you struggle with that

Location, view, beach and in generell the area is great and has nice restaurants close by. The apartment has really everything you might need especially with a baby. Lovely owner and her very cute kids are there as well. Parking directly in front was amazing. Thank you!

Grotta Di Nicola place is in a perfect location. Place is great, very clean, with stunning sea view and has everything you need. Saska was also very helpful since the beginning, available at all times whenever we had any questions. Totally recommend it.

Amazing stay

I would like to start from the amazing view on the balcony - sea and mountains around. We had here our breakfast with coffee and spent evenings with the wine) It was really cool. The beach in a few steps from the apartment, that was not crowded (sometimes we even were alone). In the beach you can use sunbeds and umbrellas - all are free. There are a lot of good restaurants around. The host was very friendly, gave us some useful recommendations on what places to visit and was always in touch. A huge plus is private parking. The room was comfortable and pretty good equipped kitchen. The beds were comfort. We liked our stay here and definitely recommend this place.

I've never seen such an unprofessional person in hospitality business. I didn't feel comfortable at all and felt so liberated and relieved when I checked out.

Very disappointing though, the rooms with views are amazing.

The sheets for the sofa bed were individual size, and we had told him to prepare it for us. The wifi stopped working, and it was a problem because we were teleworking. We did not know that we had to press a button for the heater to heat water all night and we could not shower (in February). Every time we raised a problem with the owner, she told us that she had four children... The kitchen with the basics, two cups and little else. The typical accommodation where the owners only hope to get paid without complicating life.

The distance from the old city, if you don't take a Taxi or take a car, requires a good walk of about 4 km and if you consider the round trip 8 km. If you're not in a hurry and are in good physical condition, you'll win in the view of the edge of the Bay of Kotor. Something that caught our attention, however, we didn't complain, was that the reservation made by bookkng was with a price and they disregard charging a little more.

Amazing balcony views

Amazing views of the bay from our balcony. Excellent location with a lovely walk by the bay into the old town. Nice restaurants nearby.

The shower needs to be reconfigured so that the whole bathroom doesn’t flood when you take a shower. There needs to be some sort of separation between the shower and the toilet. Other than that, this is a superb place to stay.

our hosts were extremely welcoming; they picked us up with their bike when we missed the parking lot for the property. the location is perfect and and we had amazing views of the Kotor Bay. the room was fully stacked with all household items that may be necessary.
