Quality Inn Black Mountain-Asheville East

Location was ideal for my itinerary. Room was spacious and clean. There was a light breakfast which is all I need.

Room was good but did have a somewhat unusual smell. This is an older motel, with entrance to room from street. But it was well maintained and I did not have any problems with my stay.

Close to where I was attending a conference.

Location, clean, and affordable

Price, location, breakfast, comfortable beds, a/c good, pool.

Requested pet friendly room on ground floor, but got second floor. Bathroom cramped. Some trash in room when we arrived.

We liked the location and the place had potential to be better.

We stayed there for ten days and none of the staff, smiled or even asked how we are doing. The management was rude to women and tried to talk down to them. Completely disrespectful. They never gave our blankets back after we asked to have them washed. Whenever it would rain the cable would always go out. It rained nearly everyday. The management were very pushy and had no interest in dealing with the public. Often times being very rude and snobbish. The bathroom shower ceiling started growing black mold morning of the third day. The mini fridge did not just cool your stuff, it froze everything. It was not a freezer and mini fridge. It was a freezer. The housekeeping staff had zero work ethic and had zero hospitality service skills. I found an old sock underneath the air conditioner unit that was wet and moldy and did not belong to me. I personally cleaned our own shower, toilet, and sink. Because I don’t want a half assed job don . Sometimes I would need to borrow their vacuum and if I did not return it in a timely manner, they would get extreme upset. For the most part we would do the best we are doing. However we always felt judged and not wanted to be there. Trust me if our house did not go up in smoke, I would rather be at any hotel other than that piece of shit.
