About this house rental
Located in Isle of Palms, this charming house for $1,000 per night is a great choice for your next break. This comfortable home comes equipped with most everything you need to stay at the beach. The 1st floor is an open floor plan with kitchen, den, and 1/2 bathroom. A screened in porch w/table perfect for catching ocean breezes. Out back you will find the private Pool. It's heat-able with an extra charge for propane, swimming pool, chaise loungers, and charcoal grill. The 2nd floor has 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths. On 2nd floor: Master BR King has a private balcony for coffee and sunrise or cocktails at sunset. The other two bedrooms are a King and a Queen which share the hall bathroom. The 3rd floor loft has a Queen bed and 2 twins, which will also share the 2nd floor hall bathroom. In addition, the home is approx. 50 yds from the beach- making beach access quick. (Nice, clean/family beach.) Walk 2-3 blocks North and you are at the front beach restaurant area! If you are looking to fish, you may fish from Breech Inlet Bridge (4 blocks away) or our Dock which is nearby. There's a long fishing pier at Mt. Pleasant Waterfront Park- but here is a small fee to fish there. Put your boat/jet skis in at the Isle of Palms Marina- 5 minutes away. While at Marina pop into Islander 71 Fish House & Deck Bar and enjoy the beautiful water views. Two world class golf courses can be found a few miles away at Wild Dunes Resort. There are tons of activities in and around the area-shopping, dining, art, historical downtown Charleston, the Market, fishing charters, festivals, water parks, amazing restaurants, etc. Amenities: Fridge & stand alone ice maker, coffee pot, Keurig, microwave, toaster, oven, blender, cable, charcoal grill, wireless internet access, washer/dryer, iron/board.

Our family had a wonderful stay this fall at our IOP beach house. While we here we updated the kitchen appliances, added a new faucet, had the outside of the home repainted, added a new den tv as well as new blinds, replaced the screened in porch, replaced both staircases with trex, added a firepit to the back yard behind the swimming pool, added new lights to the pool area, replaced the front door and added a new punch pad keyless entry. As you may know- the salt air can be rough on the exterior of a home. We decided to replace the slightly rusting front door scones with new lighting fixtures that are more durable. We went through the linen closet and removed old sheets-sets and towels and purchased new replacement linens. While fishing from the dock we caught red fish, stingrays, speckled trout and even a few crabs. We pressure washed the dock.It was great seeing some of the friendly and kind neighbors along our street. We enjoyed walking along Ocean Blvd for both dog walks as well as walking down to front beach "downtown" for the occasional dining out. We absolutely love how nice everyone is and how cozy and clean the Isle of Palms continues to be. Can't wait to return next fall!

Property needs maintenance on inside and out
-oven doesn’t work
-dryer needs to run 3 continuous cycles to dry one load of towels
-kitchen sink faucet cap broken and the head won’t stay in the faucet
-back sliding door extremely hard to open and close
-security on the steps to the pool doesn’t latch (inoperable)
-lights on golf cart so not work and brakes are bad on golf cart as well
-master bath the blinds are broken and won’t close
-the blinds behind the couch do not close and neighbors can see straight through house

The location of the property on IOP is perfect, not too mention IOP is an incredible place to stay. Beach was super close, clean, not crowded, and very enjoyable. House was exactly what we needed. After a morning at the beach, the kids would spend the rest of the day in the pool, if we were not going to Charleston which is about 20 minutes away. Plenty of places to eat on IOP, and even more on Sullivans Island and Mount Pleasant, but took advantage of the well stocked kitchen to cook and enjoy more of our days touring, and beachcombing. This was our first trip to Charleston, but we will certainly go back, and Isle of Palms will certainly be where we stay. If this house is available, then we will bee back to enjoy it again!

There were 9 of us 3 adults, 6 teens. We enjoyed the spacious living room, spacious kitchen, spacious parking, pool, short walk to the beach and great weather.

However, I am disappointed with the lack of communication from the property manager regarding the very loud construction next door and the lawn maintenance crew that unexpectedly showed up during our stay. I had contacted the property manager regarding this and was told the construction only recently “popped up” and was given a number to call if there were concerns surrounding noise. The construction was permitted to take place from 7:30-6 at night. It was very difficult to be outside and relax because we could barley hear each other talk over the music and constant banging. On Thursday , lawn maintenance men showed up while we were out at the pool in bathing suits with our children and just threw chairs around and proceeded to do their jobs acting as if we were in their way. They also blew off the front porch where our personal belongings were and freshly mowed grass around our cars. I have never stayed at a place that I have dealt with this. When spending a lot of money on a place you expect it to be relaxing and it was far from that. The property manager was emailed again about the lawn maintenance and noise from the construction and completely ignored my email. I truly felt, as did all the adults staying, that we should have been notified prior to our arrival or at least given a partial discount for the constant disruption we dealt with the entire week.

This property was in great proximity to the beach and easily accessible by golf cart even though the cart is dated and barely has brakes. The cleanliness of the property was less than desirable. We found glow sticks etc left over from previous renters. The dishwasher was so gross and had black debris all along the inside that we hand-washed A LOT of dishes. The pool was dirty and the filter kept shutting off. Overall we managed to enjoy our stay. We stayed at the beach mostly and brought our own grill to cook on. The pool table was great for late night fun and there was plenty of space for all of us adults.

Nice place and we had a very good time. No shortage of things to do and places to eat. Pool table was a big hit with the kids in the evenings.
Only negative part is that we did see a few roaches in the house during our stay.

This could not have been a better house for our 10 family members to share a vacation that the memories will last a lifetime. We had never taken a big trip together and this house provided a perfect environment! The house was clean and spacious. The beds were comfortable. Both porches had great breezes and a view of the pool to keep a watchful eye on the kids. The chairs around the pool and porches were great quality to lounge on. The pool is around 3 1/2 to 4 ft and has steps in it where you can just sit and relax or paddle around. For kids it was the perfect pool to play in. We loved the waterfall ! The swing set was a major plus too.
It is about a block to the beach which is an easy walk but the kids and loved taking a spin In the golf cart to get there. The adults LOVED playing pool!
The table in the kitchen became a wonderful place to sit and share stories. It was so comfortable we only went out to dinner one night and besides grocery shopping we stayed at the house or on the beautiful beach.
Even though there are only 2 full baths we managed just fine. The full washer and dryer were on the same floor as the bedrooms which was so convenient.
I can not thank the owners enough for providing such a comfortable place that allowed us to share such a special time with our loved ones. ❤️❤️

Great Family Fun
The house was nice. The pool was great and the walk to the beach was so short. We had a blast and would consider renting this house again.
The only negative was the showers were a bit confusing but once we figured it out we were good!!

The carpet upstairs surely needs a good cleaning or replaced. There is some age to this home and it shows. The master suite is very comfortable, but again the carpet, the ceiling fan are filthy. There are patch works on the ceiling, empty & broken rod holder above the window.
Especially on the outside deck area in back. Nearly every screen is loose or flapping in the wind. The back deck area is filthy along all the ledges. Outdoor furniture is Polywood, but black! Ouch .. hot. No pads on them.The pool is nice, but it needed swept, and is smaller. The “bar area” outside needs re-do. They have toys there to play in the water with for the kids. The grill, well it is encroached on by the rose bush and looks as if someone scorched the rose bush from the fire. A nice little fenced in Area with nice fig trees and decorative trees.
Bring your own TP, they supply you with a 1 ply paper.
The golf cart/ it was great to have as town was just blocks away, but, I’m going to guess this thing is 30 years old? You have to hold the steering wheel at a 180 in order to go straight. The brakes., well you would do better dragging your feet. It creaks, cracks and clunks.
As for communication with the owner, we had an issue, it was resolved. But, the timing was not acceptable nor was his snarky remarks. I will leave it at that.
I would not rent this property again because of him and that it is over priced for the condition of the house and the golf cart.

Owners Weekend
With our home open and with the 2 last reviews, we decided to stay at the home the weekend of May 22nd to do some deferred maintenance. During our stay we: Pressure washed the house as there was oak and pine pollen everywhere, painted the railings, stained the wood decks, put up new window screens, cut back a few shrubs, moved our personal golf cart over there to replace the older one, tightened up a few lose things and gave the home an over-all get ready for summer spruce up. We agree there were a few things that needed attention, but we feel like it is good to go, now!

This home has had some good reviews and I am sure the property was suitable for some but it was not up to my standards based on a price to quality perspective.

Isle of Palms September 2020 Family Vacation
Overall location was great. We enjoyed fishing from dock and spending time on the beach that was about a block away. Golf cart made getting there with beach stuff quick and easy. No hot tub or ocean view as advertised. Enjoyed the clean, big beach where we could easily maintain 6ft distance from others.

Nebraska christmas
This property is very child friendly, we enjoyed that alot. My one thing I didn't like was that the hot tub was under the house in the raised area, it wasn't bad; I would have just liked it better in the back so that we could be in the hot tub and the kids in the pool. But it was located in a fantastic area we walked to the beach a few times and had plenty of room. Beds were very comfortable and the kids loved having their very own area at the top of the house.

2nd time renters as happy as first time!
This is just about THE perfect beach rental. Literally steps from the beach AND the intercoastal (with a deep water dock). Great pool, hot tub, fenced yard for the pooches, and beautiful landscaping. The interior is spacious and well equipped. Evan a pool table. Will rent again!

Location, pool and swingset make this property
Overall I would stay here again due to the location to the beach (access to golf cart was great amenity). It was a little to chilly for us to enjoy the pool but it was very nice. Our kids loved the swing set as well. Kitchen had plenty of items to use, stove was pretty basic/older, could upgrade. Seating/couches were a mess...tore up, falling apart...just unacceptable. They had a couch cover to try and hide the issues but this must be addressed asap. Hot tub was filthy. I took video recording of things floating in the water, we didn't even dare trying to use.
Good assortment of toys for the kids, pool table in living room was nice.
Bedrooms were okay, beds were comfy. Around most vents you could tell they had a mold problem, took pics of them but also an issue that needs addressed.
In a nutshell, I'd likely stay here again if they addressed some of the above issues b/c of location/pool/swing set.

Great location. Perfect size for 6 adults and 2 dogs. Kitchen stocked with quantity and quality of dishes/pots pans. Easy and quick access to beach. Food and shopping a golf cart ride away
