Very dog friendly and all them rooms were kept together on the ground floor. The grounds were gorgeous and staff lovely. The breakfast was top notch.

Having read some of the reviews I was expecting the hotel to be dated and less than in the cleanliness stakes. Firstly yes it is quite old fashioned inside but in a 19:00s like my grandparents house way that was actually really nice. It was spotlessly clean, had very thing we needed in the room including a fan an iron etc. The beds were super comfortable and the linen smelled nice.and The room was well noise insulated so we didn’t get woken up (nor did our dog) by other people coming and going. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location is fabulous and great for walking the dog. The dog was made welcome.

Hotel needs a refurb! Wall paper peeling off bedroom walls, dated in most areas. Stains on carpets and curtains. Bed was broken so had to move rooms. No water in the rooms. Plastic plants! Shame as has huge potential
