Travelling with family the resort has the perfect balance of adult and kid friendly activities and amenities to keep everyone entertained
Nothing really. If I had to pick one thing, it is out of the way from patong beach etc so it is a hike to get there if you wanted to experience that. But that’s why we chose it in the first place

The hotel is clean , quiet all around .
All inclusive package included different restaurents , coffee shop , waffel ice cream cafe , the bars and much more .
The hotel have something for everyone wether you are kid , teenage , older in age . Everyone can enjoy .
The direct pool access are super relaxing specially if you have kids , however its quite small and not spaci
I asked the check in lady about the food and halal options since we opted for all inclusive . I was shokced when she told me that halal options are not availabe . they order halal products but prepairing and everything is not halal she said marriott is international chain and halal hence is not a priority !!! and BTW her attitude was not appreciated at all regarding our inquiry she sounded mocking !
For improvements i suggest :
1- educating all staff about halal food and different type of hotel guests ( muslims / kosher .. etc )
2- i noticed no lifegurd in any pool
3- having bar / services / steward at the provate pool access area as we had to head to the nearest pool to get anything !
4- temprature at the gym need to be controlled as its freezing in there .
5- washroom around the hotel need continues cleaning as i tried different facilities during different hours and they were usually dirty .
6- reception staff needs alot of training .

What’s not to like. This place has the lot and is a short 250 Baht ride to town. Private beach, activities, spa, multiple pools, multiple restaurants, cooking classes where do I stop. Best place I have ever stayed and I’ve had a lot of hotel nights.

Great location, nearby the busy areas but hidden and private -- so great for families and those that want some quiet resort time away from the hustle and bustle. Great private beach with good snorkeling. good staff

Massive pool, breakfast availability
The restaurant needs some series work plates left on tables for up to 2.5 hours after guests have left attracting flys and birds. Even asking staff members to clean them nothing happens

Breakfast was great so much to choose from they have two restaurants to have breakfast one has a bit more variety than the other pools are great you have a swim up bar on one side and kids slide and activities on the other they have kids club which is good and do a variety of things from making there own pizzas to ice cream they do have a shuttle that can take you into Patong beach 10-15 minutes out depending on traffic also have their own beach can swim at or go snorkelling over the reef they do have equipment to borrow if you haven’t brought your own staff were good but some didn’t understand what you were saying
When checking in they they don’t tell you their adding a bond on top of your booking so when I checked my credit card it was $326 Australian dollars extra it would have been good to tell us as some people only have certain limits on their card ,if you don’t use it like room service or bar and food it gets refunded also a extra $87 for transaction fees 🙁

Gran hotel con una playa casi privada , personal muy amable y profesional , si coges el todo incluido buena calidad aunque para ser Thailandia un poco caro , eso si muy buena calidad y servicio en las comidas , así como en las bebidas . Las piscinas fabulosas y muy amplias
Quizás que esta bastante apartado de la ciudad de Patong y prácticamente imposible ir andando a cualquier sitio , para 3km que esta de distancia a Patong , hay mucha cuesta , lo que imposibilita el ir andando , la playa con marea baja es casi impracticable , muchas rocas . Si no coges todo incluido demasiado caro los servicios de comidas y bebidas , quizas se hecha en falta algo de animación nocturna

- De nombreuses activités : snorkelling accessible sur la plage de l'hôtel, ping pong, billard, sport, etc.
- Un paradis pour enfants : toboggan aquatique, jeux extérieurs, kids club
- Les équipes sont très agréables. Nous remercions particulièrement JJ, James, Baow et Waru qui nous ont accueilli de manière impeccables, et extrêmement gentils avec nos enfants
- Les repas sont particulièrement bons, avec de la nourriture de qualité et beaucoup de choix

Our stay was pleasant, with a comfortable room and spacious bathroom. The staff were helpful and efficient. We dined at both the beach grill restaurant and the Merchant Kitchen by the pool; while both were good, the poolside restaurant offered a better variety of food, and Beach grill ran out of many items and it was only 830.
We also participated in a free 8 am yoga class, which was enjoyable.
Snorkeling was good, coral outside the crest wall are in good health. However fish population is low and low, maybe locals fish there. I recommend breeding and introducing more reef fish into the area.
The hotel offers a lot of activities and free performances, and there are two elephant interaction places near-by. So don'y get fooled into leaving the hotel by the travel agencies.
However, my experience at the spa was disappointing. Despite my 6 pm appointment, there was a nearby live music performance that was too loud, making it difficult to enjoy the spa.
Additionally, we attended the Phuket Fantasea show, which was recommended by the people at the desk in the lobby. I dont know if the person works for the hotel or for outside tour agencies, but they were unclear about what Fantasea was and the cancellation policies. Unfortunately, Fantasea was the worst part of our stay. The cost for two people was 6,000 Baht, which included a 5 pm hotel pickup, dinner buffet and the perfomance which starts at 9pm.
The Golden Kinnaree buffet was of poor quality and not worth the money. It was split into many sections with different kinds of food (for Indians, muslims ..etc) but no one informed the guests. And the selection and quality of food was terrible. The family next to our table ate nothing but fries.
There was also an option to ride an elephant for 1,100 Baht for two people, with additional food available to feed the elephants for 100 Baht. However, after seeing the handler use a tool similar to a sharp-ended hammer, I regretted the decision. I believe that animals should not be forced to entertain people by walking in circles all evening. It might be better to spend that money on food baskets available at the spot and feed the elephants, which is a lot more fun.
The main performance, Legend of Kamala, started at 9 pm, so after the disappointing dinner and browsing through quite boring souvenir shops, we had to wait another hour for the show to start. The theater seats were too small, and personally, I disliked the performance due to the use of elephants and other animals. It was too loud for the animals, and I strongly believe that animals should not be made to perform tricks on stage just to please humans. If you are sensitive about animals, I would advise against going to see Phuket Fantasea.

absolutely everything, from when we arrived @ check in. I forgot my passport at previous resort but they accepted my photo saved. Staff were amazing, our room was beautiful and the most comfortable bed and pillows ever.
We were there for our daughter’s wedding on the beach front and the Wessing planner Bo & team were the BOMB squad. We enjoyed the set up and everything about the Marriott.
Next time we go. We will stay there our whole vacation - Thank you to all the staff @ The Marriott :)

Es war sehr sehr sauber , modern und schön! Das Essen war ausgezeichnet ! Wir hatten all inklusive, was ich empfehlen würde , da es sonst schon sehr teuer ist !
Personal auch sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend :) der Merlin Beach ist sehr schön , eher zum schnorcheln als zum Schwimmen aber man kann natürlich schwimmen wenn man weit genug raus schwimmt :)
Nicht gefallen ist jetzt übertrieben und auch wirklich eine nichtige Kleinigkeit, die ich aber in dem 4 Stern Hotel, in dem wir davor waren hatten, möchte ich es jetzt doch erwähnen....
Der Fernseher war schon sehr alt und man konnte den Handybildschirm nicht spiegeln und Netflix schauen ..... jaja ich weiß lächerlich aber trotzdem 🙉

The resort is one of the best near the Patong area. It's a little ways from Paton Beach where you can get some quiet but close enough to the night life if you want that also. The hotel, pools, amenities, and rooms are great, clean, lots to do. It's also very private with its own private beach.
The beach is not the greatest to swim in because there are a lot of rocks. During low tide you can see all the rocks.

Spent unforgettable 4 days in Marriott resort. Would like to thank all staff members for amazing job. Everybody was super helpful and very friendly. They had their own beach access and provide snorkeling equipment. The food in the breakfast and the restaurants was delicious. I would definitely come back here in the future.

Breakfast selection was okay, service was good. We loved the muay thai night, unfortunately we had an unpleasant experience with the buffet dinner. The pool bar was great, service was really good too. The Thai restaurant served really great dishes. Nice gym. Kids loved the ice cream parlour. Room was nice and clean, very noisy though as ours was right above the live band area. Loved the entertainment areas.
It would have been nicer if all the used towels around the pool areas were cleaned up immediately. It was a bit annoying to have all of these piles of dirty towels everywhere and no one came to collect them, or at least provide a bin to return the dirty towels. It was a bit difficult to find waiters to order beverages as well in the pool lounge area, so we gave up and swam to the pool bar and order from there instead.
Had a rather unpleasant experience with the buffet dinner during the muay thai night. It was a wonderful event, but my husband and son had mild food poisoning after dinner.
We ordered fish and chips from their beach grill restaurant and my daughter barely ate anything as the batter was very thick with very little fish inside it was almost like bread. Everything else was good though.

Beautiful scenery, staff very well trained and well behaving, high quality spa. The nature in the resort and surroundings is really awesome.
The hotel needs renovation. The beach was low tide affected most of the day. A green snake was sharing the beach paradise with us on our first morning, which was creating a discomfort for the rest of our stay.

The breakfast was amazing with a great variety of foods. The noodle soup was amazing. The pools are big and nice although the pool bar closes at 6:30pm.
Snorkeling is why I booked this resort but the hours to snorkel are limited due to the tide. Not much of a beach because of the reef. The Grill has a beautiful view but the food was mediocre at best. Hours of the restaurants were limited as well. Hard to find a decent place to have lunch. The rooms were okay but everything is a little dated and worn. Have to take a taxi to get anywhere and go back through Patong which had a lot of traffic at times.

Taxi was 1700 baht to the airport- 1300 only if you took 10 steps outside. Shame that they feel the need to make a mark up on that.

El hotel tiene 3 piscinas, las tres grandes y muy bonitas. Todo estaba muy limpio y bien cuidado.
El desayuno era maravilloso, tenías todo tipo de opciones con platos preparados al momento, corner dulce, fruta... de los mejores desayunos que he probado.
Las habitaciones del hotel son todas amplias, muy bien decoradas y con balcones a la playa o la piscina. La cama enorme y comodísima. El baño es muy espacioso (con bañera y ducha) y con todo tipo de materiales (cepillo de dientes, peine, maquina de afeitar...). Todos los días reponían las botellas de agua mineral (gratuitas, un detalle que se agradece mucho).
En la playa del hotel había tablas de paddle surf, kayaks, material para hacer snorkel... todo gratis para los huéspedes.
El servicio fue estupendo, todos los empleados son muy amables y serviciales, haciendo de que tu estancia fuese maravillosa.

Preise im Restaurant natürlich teuerer und dem Tourismus angepasst, aber meiner Meinung nach noch vertretbar. Das thailändische Restaurant hat uns am besten geschmeckt.
Massage vor Ort sehr gut.
Man hat leider das Gefühl auf einer Kreuzfahrt zu sein, kann natürlich für den einen ein Pluspunkt sein. Bin das Gefühl leider nicht losgeworden. Überall sehr voll und man hat kaum einen Ort zum entspannen. Beim Abendsessen sollte man zwingend für die „Primetime“(18-20 Uhr)reservieren, sonst bekommt man bei allen Restaurants keinen Platz. Ab 20 Uhr ist dann meistens etwas frei.

Overpriced for the size and features of the rooms. A sandy path into the sea going as far as it is needed to start swimming even at low tide without touching the rocks and corals would be good. There is an obvious shortage of umbrellas and chairs on the beach for such a large hotel where the beach is its main attraction. Placing of elevators is very weird. One may to walk a long way back and forth to be able to use them or take stairs to up to a fourth floor in the worst case. Taxi and rideshares may take long to get to get anywhere else despite Patong is just a short drive away. No shops or anything in within the walking distance from the hotel.

Absolutely loved the resort! There were so many activities and things to do and so close also to the main part of Phuket. Breakfast was good but we did opt to eat out a couple of the mornings
