The room is spacious, the hotel is conveniently located near a tram stop and walking distance from the city center. It has a private parking (quite narrow and will test your driving skills, especially if you have a larger vehicle) and it was quiet every night we were there. Reception staff was helpful and promptly took action when I was overcharged by error on breakfasts that I never had.
Spacious Room, Poor Storage
The room itself is spacious, but storage is severely lacking. There’s almost no place to put personal items, especially in the bathroom—no shelf for a beauty case or even a glass for a toothbrush. It feels like a room designed for four people, yet only accommodates the belongings of one, maybe two.
Uncomfortable Bedding
The bed was disappointing. It comes with two pillows: one is oversized but too thin, leaving your feet hanging off the edge (I’m 1.76 m tall, so not unusually tall), while the other is smaller but overly thick. Neither option made for a good night’s sleep. Additionally, only one power socket is available on one side of the bed, forcing a choice between charging a phone or using the bedside lamp.
Surreal Tea Incident
The hotel provides a kettle and green tea in the room, which is a nice touch. However, when my wife asked the bar for a simple bag of black tea, the bartender argued that the bar’s tea (allegedly French-grown) was superior to the one provided with the room and charged us €3.50 for a single bag. This was baffling—even budget hotels usually offer a selection of teas in the room and are happy to help with small requests.
Location: Convenient but Unsettling
The hotel’s location is ideal for exploring the city, but the area feels a bit sketchy at night. We encountered groups of drunk people in the square you must cross to reach the hotel from the city center.
