A charming hotel with a literary theme - useful parking too

Perfectly positioned to access all the beauty of Clermont Ferrand. Comfortable, quirky and interesting place to stay.
The carpark was hard to park in due to tight spaces.

As two couples, we had two "Executive" rooms. Both were clean and sufficiently spacious. Some of the staff were quite friendly and helpful (others no so much). Beds were comfortable. Location is convenient for a walk uphill to the old town, where there are some nice cafes and shops in addition to the iconic cathedral.
Sleeping was difficult because the rooms were over-hot and stuffy, and the air conditioning did not work. The temperature inside the rooms was much higher than the cool temperature outside, but we couldn't just sleep with the window open because the plaza directly below our window was noisy until very late at night and the sound of traffic just one floor below us prevented sleep. The area right around the hotel is pretty run-down and lacked interesting restaurant and bars.
