Great location
Third time we have stayed there. On arrival unit had not been cleaned from previous renters. Called owner and cleaners came out in about 2 hrs. Overall it is a great space and location but is getting somewhat shabby with furnishings. Back bedroom mattress has no support at all and whole unit poorly cleaned with lots of dust and crumbs. Definitely could be better maintained.

We enjoyed our time there. Great location. Quiet neighborhood.

We loved being right across the street from Langenstein's, a great little market where we grabbed breakfast each morning. We wish it was warm enough while we were there to take advantage of the outdoor area! Great location in a sleep neighborhood, but still walking distance to Magazine. Loved the spacious rooms, and the master shower was awesome!

Wonderful week-long stay for our family of four adults. Quiet neighborhood. Easy walking distance to much of what we like to do in NOLA. Responsive owner -- even when something quite unexpected happened on the day before a major holiday. And, if you like details only found in older homes, you'll love this property. Thanks again!

Unfortunately, we did not end up staying in this beautiful home. but I wanted to share our experience with this host forthe benefit of others looking at the property.
The night before we were to check in this host contacted me to let me know the Air Conditioning was not working correctly and given that the area was experiencing record heat, he gave us the option of staying and seeing if we were comfortable or canceling for a full refund. Based on the forcast for record high temps, we opted to cancel.
We did receive a full refund. This host handled a difficult situation in a thoughtful and fair way, we appreciated his honest phone call. I will definitely look this property up for future trips.

We had a wonderful stay for our daughter's graduation week at Tulane. The house is in a wonderful location and easily accessible to the University, and to both Magazine and St. Charles. Walking distance to restaurants, like Saba! and to the best ice cream at Creole Creamery. Cute local grocery and liquor store across the street!
The house is large and has ample room for a family with 2 large bedrooms and nice bathrooms. The living room is very comfortable and the dining room has a beautiful table. The front porch is great! The house has old New Orleans charm and the Jazz Fest posters throughout the house are awesome.
The only negative comments would be that the back bedroom with the nice attached bathroom needs a new mattress and the pull out couch is not very comfortable.

Pros: Lovely old house with the uptown feel I know and love. Spacious rooms, lovely living room and delightful porch, a well equipped kitchen. Appreciated that there were some basics, including coffee (no decaf) in the kitchen. The yard is lovely as is the loggia. Our son lives around the corner so he provided a few things lacking.
Needs improvement: New coffee maker (we're not Keurig fans and the basic Proctor Silex didn't work). Towels were clean but a bit thread bare. No sheets to be found for the sofa bed. Master shower is lovely but needs a good scrubbing in the corners (otherwise very clean). The garbage disposal didn't work and the dishwasher backed up the day before we were leaving. We were eating out so we dealt with it. Owner was responsive and jumped on the problem after we left. The patio needed to be cleaned up and the grill did not work. There's great potential for that outdoor space which was once quite nice. Get some new towels, pillow protectors, new coffee maker, fix up the outdoor space, water the planters regularly and you have a 5 star property. SO convenient to have Langenstein's across the street.

My husband and I stayed here with another couple, all 4 of us retirees. A great place for a reunion with old friends. The weather was lovely, and we enjoyed sitting on the front porch. A few blocks from Audubon Park & the St. Charles trolley; Langenstein's grocery store across the street very convenient. Beds were comfortable, kitchen very nice. A few issues: one toilet was draining slowly when we arrived, & completely stopped up our second day in the house; we notified the owner he sent out a plumber to fix it the next day. He also came by with a couple of others things we needed. Towels, some linens rather old. The outdoor barbeque area needed cleaning and refurbishing; we did not use it.

Ok, the property is in an excellent location for getting around. We didn’t have a car so we used Lyft and the local bus and trolley and walking. The house is large with very open rooms. The kitchen worked well for us. Both bathrooms are ok. We did request a bath mat for bathroom with the tub so that we could shower and not fall. Steven responded quickly, which was much appreciated. The one problem we faced was that the room where the washer and dryer is had a roof leak and at first we thought it was a gas leak because of the smell so again we contacted Steven and he came by and told us that he couldn’t fix the problem but he thought it was because of the water damage. While we tried to adjust between having the doors open to air out the house and running the air conditioning the smell persisted our whole stay and some of us had allergic reactions to. All in all a good stay but would like to be sure that the water damage problem is resolved before staying there again.

Great location and house. A group of 5 came for the Jazz Fest and enjoyed the weekend. The house is lovely but in need of updating. From mattresses, sheets, towels, etc to the outdoor seating area.

I arrived late in the afternoon with the other guests after asking for an early check in and never hearing back. Upon arrival, we quickly found the place had been thankfully left somewhat tidy by the prior guests, but not cleaned in any way. As it was approaching the evening we quickly set about cleaning ourselves as we did not hear back from the host for hours after telling him the house was in need of cleaning and missing many things such as soaps and sheet sets. We did eventually hear that the cleaners would be coming later, but a quick "sorry, thanks for understanding" was all the host said. I didn't feel like the stress of arriving at a filthy home with six guests after long flights was empathized with, and we felt we needed to leave the house so they could clean despite it being nearly dark at this point. That evening, after trying multiple times to use the main toilet, we had to rely on the attached primary suite toilet for the whole house. We messaged the host in the morning, and were told a plumber would come and they did later the next day to eventually resolve the issue.
We enjoyed the space itself, but felt like even after it was cleaned, furniture and home appliances and fixtures were on the verge of disrepair (or beyond). The lack of understanding/feeling like I was inconveniencing the host anytime something went wrong made the stay disappointing and I would not book here again.

The spacious house is in a great uptown location. The streetcar is only a few blocks away. So is Magazine Street. A small grocery store is across the street. The house is comfortable. A few amenities could be upgraded ( a new toaster, better towels) but these are minor relative to the overall experience. If you like NOLA and like Uptown, you will like this place.

Location was great! . House was clean. Kitchen well stocked. Back yard and porch needs updating. Bedrooms had nice sheets but mattresses and pillows need replacing. Overall we had a great time!

We stayed with our son, daughter in law and two very young kids. I was concerned that the two year old could do serious damage to the house, but it was actually very child proof. The very large yard was a great place for him to run around.
The location gives you a very Uptown New Orleans experience. Even though it's across from Langenstein's grocery, it's very quiet. Rooms were very large and kitchen is well equipped.
Stephen was very accomodating.

The neighborhood was safe and everyone was very friendly. (I will go so far as saying THE SAFEST in my experience. BIL is an ex-cop and he was impressed!) Lots of people walking and exercising their dogs. The grocery store across the street was handy and they carry a lot of Louisiana products that aren't available at home! The house has plenty of room for relaxing/cooking/sleeping. The LR had comfortable seating for the four of us. Parking is a breeze! If you're looking for a vaca home that's modern and perfect stay at the Omni. This beautiful old house has some quirks but that just adds to the charm! A lot of love went into its renovation. And the location is perfect! Three blocks to St. Charles and the trolley. All four of us agreed this is the best VRBO rental we have experienced in NOLA!!! Thank you, Stephen!!!! Hope to stay again in the spring!!

The location of this little gem was wonderful. We wanted to be close enough to take a short ride to the quarter, but be far enough that we could leave the hustle and bustle to truly relax. That is exactly what we got. The owner is very responsive and friendly. Overall - great experience. The grocery store is literally across the street and was a bonus. Quiet neighborhood.

Wonderful stay
We enjoyed our stay at Stephen’s home. The home is older and has beautiful original features. Loved the NOLA/jazz themed art around the home. The home had everything we needed. We felt right at home. Stephen was attentive and welcoming. Thank you for a great stay.

This is a great spot, groceries super close by and short walk to some great restaurants. Lots of room both in the house and the backyard to stretch out and visit.

This was absolutely perfect for what we needed. As long-time residents of the neighborhood who now live out of town, it really was a home away from home. Very nice rooms and perfect location. Could not have been better! I would use it again anytime!

The property is a 100+ year old building. There is an upstairs tenant that we did not meet nor interact with an anyway. There is a local grocery store across the street that can be very busy at times but did not impact our stay. There were some property maintenance issues that I brought up to the property manager. He did get the lawn cut and cleaned up but the building itself could use a little more sprucing up.

Great New Orleans house
This property was a lovely place to stay with friends. Spacious, with a great backyard to hang out and have drinks after a long day. Conveniently next to a grocery store and close to many great uptown restaurants. Definitely would stay again.

Wedding at the Tea Room
So convenient for our last bit of planning for my daughter’s wedding at the Audubon Tea Room. Other reviews were correct about the deliveries to the store across the street/warehouse next store. Early - 6am truck noise but didn’t bother me bc I get up early and needed to start my day anyway. Fewer deliveries on Saturday and not any on Sunday so could sleep in after the wedding. Recommend it

Great stay!
We loved the location of the house. It was a short walk to Magazine St or Tulane. There is a nice small grocery store across the street which was very convenient. The house has an upstairs tenant but she was very quiet.
The house is very nice and we were comfortable. We had two couples and we each had our own room and bath. We enjoyed sitting in the living room. The house has a really large dining room that would be great for dining. Also the kitchen was nicely stocked.
We would stay again.

50th birthday trip
We enjoyed the home, location and amenities.
Major bummer, the day after Mari Gras celebration we were awoken at 7:30am by a work crew on the roof tearing awake tiles and throwing them in to a metal dumpster. Went on all morning. Property owner didn’t warn us or acknowledge my inquiry if we should expect the work any other days of our stay.
