Die hinteren Bungalows sind recht ruhig, vorn etwas lauter wegen der Straße. Direkt gegenüber ist der tolle Strand und man kann bei Niedrigwasser zur Insel laufen bzw. Brusthoch schwimmen. Badeschuhe empfohlen.
Frühstück recht einfach, relativ abseits gelegen. Pool relativ klein

There was a variety of different rooms to stay in. Ours was large and simple and comfortable. Basic but fine. Right opposite the pool which was lovely, and surrounded by trees in a nice setting. The breakfast seemed to change every other day, offering a set breakfast one day - a choice of western or Thai; and then a Thai buffet style the next day.
Two large pet tortoises roam the garden which is a nice addition. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Strange plastic pool - but a good size and certainly a great refreshing temperature.
The location of the hotel makes it a bit remote if you don't have a car, which we didn't. So a walk to the nearest place to eat, have coffee, cold drink etc, is a good 1.5km away. That is fine in the day but not a walk. you would want to do in the dark, very dark road that cars just zoom down. In the other direction further away, there is the Dugong resort. We walked there, again a good 30 mins walk away, but they have a Tuk Tuk of sorts and can drive you, for a fee, back to your hotel. So we went there to eat one night. Pakmeng Resort seems to be a busy hotel and it would do them no harm to get a Tuk Tuk service to drive people to and from the hotel. Initially it was eerily quiet for the first night or so. But then when we left, the entire place had been taken over by a conference booking. Seems to be a place either for Thai family holidays or else conferences.
The sea is ridiculously warm - too warm. But the pool was very refreshing.
There was no kettle in the room which was unlike every other hotel we had stayed in, in Thailand. But a very obliging staff member, gave us one to keep in there - without having asked for it. You have to buy your own tea, coffee etc. We were in a twin room. There was only one bedside light and that was literally glued onto the bedside table!! There was no light for the other bed.
