You wake up an hour past dawn, grab a cup of java and sit out on your private deck that overlooks shimmering Copake Lake, a 365 acre multiuse lake. Maybe you're contemplating your 10:00 a.m. tee-off at the Copake Lake Country Club or landing that 'Lunker' largemouth bass that got away. You could be planning the route of your 10 mile bike trek through the rolling farmland down to Bash-Bish Falls State Park or making a list of antique shops to hit in search of that perfect dresser for your bedroom. About 2 hours from New York City and 2.5 hours from Boston, the house is situated on ½ acre of land with 12 feet of sliding glass doors and skylights that overlook the lake and brings the foliage right into you’re living room. There are antique grade pine floors throughout the house which is fully equipped with linens, towels, outdoor grill and all the kitchen accoutrements to create that culinary masterpiece. We have also provided all the conveniences of home such as air conditioning, a central heating system, cable TV, DVD, and WiFi for your laptop. For the final touch, there's even glass door wood stove for keeping warm on those romantic evenings. The house sleeps up to 6 in the 3 bedrooms. There's 1 and 1/2 baths. Every year, my friends and I come up to the area to attend the Sheep and Wool Festival in Rhinebeck. Your cabin was the perfect rest and retreat for afterwards - cozy beds and a nice living room to sit and craft in. Thank you!

The property is as rustic and charming as portrayed in the photos. And it’s location on Copake Lake with a view of the lake and it’s trees and access to the nearby small beachfront park makes it a great house for those looking to spend time in and out of water. Blaise responds to emails quickly and his instructions for checking in and checking out were clear and concise. The kitchen was fully equipped and there were plenty of bathroom towels.

Property is across from the lake and was close to the roe jan biking event. There was a heating problem and we contacted the owner. He quickly responded to the problem and it was repaired the next day. The beds are too spongy for us. We enjoyed our stay.

The house was perfectly located , fully stocked and super comfortable. Blaise was in communication with us throughout if we needed but was absolutely non intrusive. The lakefront was magical , the deck was the best place to eat a meal and inside the big table was well lit for games. Thank you!

I imagine the owner has a cleaning agency. Well they are not doing there job. The oven was so filthy you couldn't even use it also the grill outside was the same. The coffee pot the same. The view was fantastic and the area was great. I would definately stay there again but definately talk to owner first to make sure everything was taken care of.

Rented this house for my family to stay in so we could all be together at the lake for this weekend. The house was great, my family loved it. Great view of the lake, and the weather was perfect to make it better. Wish we could all stayed for longer!

We loved our stay in this house, which was very comfortable, clean, and cozy. There is so much to see in the area, but you also have the option of just sitting on the deck, looking at the lake, and reading. We look forward to a return visit!

A++ 10/10 stars! My family of 4 (wife, 2 young kids) fit comfortably in his bright, lovely, cozy 3 bedroom home (with 2 bathrooms) right on the lake! The home is relatively close to Catamount Ski Resort with a beautiful view of the lake. Just based on texting/messaging, the owner, Blaise clearly communicates well, is very accommodating and has a wonderful, caring vibe! If it were not during a world pandemic I would have loved to meet him in person! He goes above and beyond to make sure his guests have a great experience! In fact, I mistakenly and unknowingly left my suit in the closet but Blaise notified me and now working on mailing it back to me. Many thanks! This small but perfect home has a fully functioning kitchen, dinning area that seats 4 (but could possibly squeeze in 5-6 people), a very nice living room with a fire place and nice flat screen TV, washer/dryer, nice size deck, barbecue, etc. The wifi was strong and reliable as I needed to teach online guitar lessons while my family skied. I really enjoyed being at the home all day long. I'm sensitive to smells and my wife is allergic to dogs/cats and we were happy that there were no pet nor cigarette/cigar odors at all. The shower is hot plus dishwasher, microwave and everything are fully functional. The home has everything you would need plus such great vibes! My wife and I are NYC based full-time professional musicians and educators. We have have both toured around the world and were quite happy here for this 3 day get away! Thanks so much, Blaise!

As close to the lake as you can be, short drive to local towns, impeccably clean, very friendly owner, altogether just perfect to relax. One of the teenagers said "this is a nice place, they should market it better, pictures on the website make it look less nice than it is, rooms look smaller on the pictures." In any case, highly recommended.
