heavenly respite surrounded by gorgeous greenery and trees with a gorgeous pool, hammocks and bar.

We loved that it was a family run place that was a beautiful old home surrounded by gorgeous greenery and trees. We discovered that there were two beaches, very different from each other, just a few minutes walk down the street. We absolutely loved the surroundings and we were given a very nice breakfast.

No pets living there there and that the owners appeared to not want to feed the mother cat and her kittens who were living on the property. I feel they should have fed them and spayed and neutered them. Other than that comment, I felt that Villa Martha was one of the, if not the nicest place we found in Greece; a true find!

The room was comfy, clean, quiet, beautiful surroundoy,garden, polite personel

Beautiful garden but a problem with mosquitos. Not so close from town center ,you need to walk 15mins to reach town center, 1800m from the center, perhaps windows should be new with double glass.

Gorgeous walled garden and pool, very friendly for solo travellers

Gorgeous walled garden and pool. Sense of friendliness with other guests, especially at breakfast. Very friendly staff. I even borrowed a power adaptor during my stay which really got me out of a tight spot. Lovely balcony and view of hills.

The lighting wasn't great.

beautiful grounds, horrible bed and privacy.

the grounds were gorgeous, they are definitely the most appealing part of the experience. the bar is very nice as well and the staff are very friendly and accommodating.

the bed was seriously uncomfortable. it’s two twin beds pushed together and hospital like blankets. not necessarily the hotel’s fault but all we could hear all day and night was children crying and at some points toddlers were out on OUR private balcony playing. overall very little sleep and privacy.

Exceptional

This hotel is a little way out from the main port so lovely and peaceful but not too far to walk. The garden with the pool is absolutely wonderful and a great place to chill after the heat of the day. Breakfast is served on the terrace outside and was adequate. George the young bar man who greated us was very pleasant and helpful and the owners are so friendly we will definitely return again

Perfect Spetses retreat :-)

Villa Martha is often pitched as a 'budget' option in Spetses. We stayed there last week for a wedding, with many of our friends staying at the 'luxury' island options. I would suggest that the pool at Villa Martha, bar area and general management exceeded that of our friends luxury options! The garden and pool is a real haven, beautifully kept and very relaxing; and the hotel looked after our every need. Our room was large and clean, and whilst quite simple, we were comfortable The bathrooms are quite basic but the shower was powerful and the water lovely and warm. The hotel is well located. I'd recommend it to anyone and would certainly stay there again if I returned to Spetses.

It would be great to have a kettle in the room for teamaking!

Exceptional

This is so wonderful place with it's own atmosphere. We are grateful to the hospitality of lovely owners of this place. Cozy villa is hidden behind big gate and is surrounded by the beautiful garden. Everything is done with love - villa, bright rooms, garden with fruit trees, clean swimming pool under the lemon trees, tasty breakfast with local products. The atmosphere of this place is so warm and pleasant. The owners helped with our additional requests (for example, additional towels for the pool or the possibility to stay longer after check out etc). We are very pleased to meet so amazing people and to spend 2 fantastic days at this accommodation. We will be glad to stay there again in the future. Highly recommend!

Great place to stay

We had a wonderful time at Villa Martha. Everyone was very welcoming and helpful. The pool is brilliant and the room and balcony were both good too. We hired electric bikes which were great for getting up and down the hill. Nearby restaurant To Pachni is a must-visit too!

The location is great for Paradise Beach and Old Harbor. The innkeepers were great hosts.

The pool and lovely grounds. Lemon and lime trees, fig and pomegranate. An oasis. lovely kind hosts.

The rooms was a bit spartan but we had everything we needed.

Peaceful, beautiful stay in Spetses

The pool and garden area are beautiful and very well maintained. It was such a relaxing environment, and Dimitris and the other staff were so helpful and friendly. The location is around 15-20 minutes walk from the main town, but less than 5 minutes to either the Old Port or the nearest beach.

A wonderful place to stay

This is a real gem slightly out of town from the main port but well worth the 15 min walk it is very close to the Old Port which is charming and had great choice of good restaurants The stand out point of the hotel is the wonderful garden and amazing pool where breakfast is taken in the morning the rooms were of a good standard and very clean The hosts were very attentive and friendly overall a fantastic place to stay on Spetses island

Delightful

Warm welcome and a room upgrade. Very good breakfasts served in the delightful garden. The orange juice was made from oranges grown in the garden - it was the best we've ever tasted. The room was spotless, comfortable and airy, complete with large balcony overlooking the garden. The shower was a good size, so no getting tangled in a wet shower curtain. The location was just a short stroll down the narrow side streets to the old harbour, with its assorted bars and restaurants. Relaxing in the secluded garden under the old olive trees, whilst having a drink from the bar before going out for the evening, was perfect.

Excecllent pool and in a great location for restaurants and beach

Fabulous guest house. Amazing swimming pool in a beautiful garden. The room was very light and airy with a view of the garden and very good value for 3 people. Excellent hosts who were very helpful.

Marvelous Martha despite the strange rain !

Paradise in Greece

This is a beautiful, relaxing oasis on the island! The garden is green and luscious, the staff is so warmly welcoming, the breakfast is delicious and the pool is always impeccably clean - just like everything else. It’s the perfect place for a pool holiday, with the next beach for swimming just a five minute walk away. Everything feels very intimate and calming, the bed is super comfortable and the interior is very tasteful and non-kitsch-greek. We loved our stay and can highly recommend this place!!

It’s a little off the main town of Spetses (which itself isn’t big), if you want that this hotel would be about a 20 minute walk - but we loved the calm and quiet this brought.

Perfect little oasis of Spetses

We stayed in Villa Martha for four nights while we stayed in Spetses. The place is magical, like a secret garden beyond the green gate. The breakfast was simple, but delicious served in the garden. The room was cozy, with the perfect greek vibe. The hosts were very nice - one day my bathing suit ripped, and they were kind enough to give me some string and needle. The closest beach is clean and managed by a great restaurant - they bring anything you order to your sunbed, don't have to lift a finger. 100% recommended as a place to stay in Spetses!

Rooms could do with an upgrade but everything else is fantastic. Worth staying for the right price.

Staff were wonderful, the garden and pool were also very nice and kept to exceptional standards. A/C in the room worked wonders and the bed was comfortable and clean, good amount of storage space in the bedroom. Overall the facilities were kept clean as well. The free buffet-style breakfasts were great and you were always greeted with a smile.

Despite booking the Superior Double, we ended up with a room that was not in any of the photos listed on the site, (specifically the toilet/shower room). Plumbing was also odd in that the colder the water, the less pressure there was. The door to the room let a lot of light in from the hallway at night, which is not ideal and the handle was wobbly (didn't fit correctly), but for what little time we spent in the room itself it was fine for our needs. Worst thing was probably the plumbing and toilet/shower room which were in dire need of a upgrade, but still functional.

I loved my stay! :)

Beautiful gardens and pool with welcoming staff and and still only a short walk from the centre.

The island is noisy with motorbikes- Villa Martha is much quieter than some centrally located hotels and then I imagine other places off the main road would be even quieter still.

We wanted a quiet place for a special trip to celebrate a wedding. I forgot my tie but Dimitri save

Dimitri is the most kind, accommodating and friendly host. He has run this hotel for 47 years and he has created a very special home from home. If you are looking for a posh hotel or a buzzing place don't go here. If you want an oasis of calm and a friendly environment then this will suit you perfectly

The bedroom could have been a bit bigger and it was clean and comfortable with great A/C

A Perfect stay in Villa Martha

we had a perfect stay at Villa Martha. the hotel is in a great location, within a short walk to the old harbor, 2 beautiful bays few hundred meters from a good restaurant a supermarket and other services. the garden is big and beautiful the pool is great and feels like paradise/ breakfast was very good and the place is very clean with the rooms being cleaned daily. but above all are the wonderful hosts Vassiliki and Dimitris and the other workers of the place that did everything they could to make our stay so great. we really hope to come back to Villa Martha
