This is such a cute and rustic cottage surrounded by vineyards (it’s part of the winery “Castello di Buttrio” and the tasting rooms are just opposite the cottage). There are beautiful shared living areas and an “honesty bar” where you can access a variety of different alcoholic beverages and bottles of wine at all hours. We arrived at 1am and, although we didn’t use this option, I really liked that it was made available. There were two bottles of complementary water in the room and packaged plum cakes. The bed was cosy, bathroom appeared to be recently renovated and the shower pressure was perfect! A lovely young man was there to welcome us and do the check in. A big THANK YOU to him as it was 1am! The accommodation is dog friendly (we had two dogs with us - one BIG and one medium sized). Breakfast was delicious. Served in a beautiful outdoor shaded area. Very friendly lady who offered us a variety of different egg possibilities, delicious coffee, and tasty buffet selections. The tomatoes soaked in herbs were amazing!
The wooden floor in the room squeaked with every step. Our big dog gets up several times a night to find a new sleeping spot, so the floor was squeaking all night. Not such a problem if you don’t have dogs. There was an air conditioner, but it was very slow to cool down the room. It was still better than having no air conditioner and the window open as there are no insect screens on the windows.

The location and the outlook is great. Like in a movie. Everything being rusticated, old-ish, is not a problem, but could add to the charm.
We visited in mid June. We travelled on motorbike so we are used to different accommodation standards.
The air conditioning was set on lowest 16 degrees. It wasn’t really doing its job but we figured it takes time. When we returned from dinner and through the night, we established that just a small corner of the air conditioning unit worked and blew air.
It wasn’t too hot and we stayed awake for the best part of the night, writing hosts on Booking with no reply. Took a picture of extremely dirty air conditioning unit.
Next day, when we told them, they were not surprised and offered another room, with no apology.
That room had separate entrance to the bathroom from the hallway. No air conditioning in the bathroom. We asked to be checked out a day early (we spend only 1 night there) and it was made possible, still no apology.
They reduced the bill from 128 to 120€. We didn’t ask for it. No apology.
A bad experience for us as travellers as we couldn’t get rest.
