Disappointing Experience

Location. They are 4 minutes away from the central train station and trams. They are 3 minutes away from the long distance bus station.

This place needs a renovation to be comfortable. Cleanness needs to be improved. When we checked in, we saw other people's hairs and ants on bed. We told them about it. They cleaned the room once, but it was not good. Breakfast was o.k. My major problem was the owner and his refund policy. We booked a room for two different days: 4 nights and 1 night after a few days. We stayed four nights in early October and booked another night five days later. When we checked in, the owner asked us for the prepayment for the second stay. So, we did. However, before we come back to Jerusalem for the second stay, Hamas fired rockets to Israel including Jerusalem. Israel declared a war against Hamas. All flights were cancelled. So, we cancelled our second stay reservation in Jerusalem and let the owner know it. Instead of flying, we crossed the border to Jordan by land (we stayed in Galilee). I sent a message to the owner a few times for a refund. However, he refused to giving me a refund. He offered me a one night credit when I come back to Jerusalem next time. But, I do not have a plan to come back to Israel. I asked him again for the refund of my prepayment. Under the current circumstances, I felt that I should get a refund. No response from him again. He decided to ignore my request. Please be aware of his refund policy.

Room facilities were good with kitchen area and loft bed for kids, although could use some minor repairs. Walking distance to train station.

After reading reviews on breakfast, I was disappointed. I would have liked to see juice and a little more fresh bread or fruit. If I had known, I would have just prepared food back in the room instead.

El trato personal con Nir, siempre atento y con ganas de ayudar en lo que sea. El apartamento en sí está bastante bien.

I rented the apartment which is just at Jaffa street. Due to the construction that's going on in there, there was a lot of noise from 6 am till 10pm and even two nights I almost couldn't sleep because they were working nonstop till 4 and 5 am. I hope this will end soon!!

Great beside for exploring Jerusalem

Breakfast is included. Nir, the owner, runs a very tidy operation. Location is ideal, as it is close to the rail and tram lines.

It's hard to criticize, because it worked extremely well for us

Disappointing

The room was very small and did not look cozy. There were some problems with TV cable fixation. Room has a very small space on the mezzanine floor, and Its ceiling is scratched and polluted. But the biggest disappointment was the bed linen. It was not as clean and fresh as it should have been in a hotel. There were also some hairs on the pillows. We could not stay, so we left.

The only positive aspect is the location close to the train station and the service given to us during breakfast

The place has an empty soul. We didn’t meet the host in three days. They were not there to open up for us, neither we were instructed on how to get inside when we arrived. Room is below average.

Lovely stay in a perfect location next to the train station.

+Perfect location +Very polite host +Very comfortable bed +Breakfast was lovely, with an amazing coffee machine +Cats were very friendly, and plants were very nice.

-Non detachable shower head, no glass pane on the window in the bathroom (just a sieve).

A disappointing experience

We arrived late at night and Shabbat had already started. The bed was clean and comfortable and we had a good night's sleep

In the morning we were expecting an abundant breakfast which was one of the main reasons for choosing the place. However, being Shabbat there was no staff but there was a tray left in the fridge with our room number on it. However, it was only for one person so my wife and I shared. We verified this when another American couple sat with us and we could compare with their abundant breakfast. The place was completely deserted so we couldn't ask anyone anything. So we left disappointed, feeling shortchanged and hungry too. Administration mistake? Policy for people staying only one night? We don't know.

Room was comfortable and clean. Great location, right next to the train station.

The owner was not here when we checked-in, we said we were to meet next day at 0745 and he wasn't here. He was very nice though, when we finally met him 1 hour later (after giving back the rent car)

The price might be cheap comparing with other locations but the conditions are not so great. Make sure you have your own

the property is very close to Jerusalem Central Station. So, if you travel with luggage, in not more than 10 minutes you are at the residence.

The rooms are not so clean. In the sharing living room there is sewage like smell. The building is so old and the apartment is at the second floor(careful if you have luggage). The breakfast is quite poor (dairy actually means only milk, no cheese, cream, yogurt…)

Superb

Very welcoming and charming B&B, super quiet despite the fact that you are 5min walking distance from Jerusalem main bus&train stations! Fantastic location, clean room, and super friendly staff : Nir organized an early breakfast so I would have something in my stomach before heading for the airport at 5am. Even better: he got another guest to take a piece of jewelry I had forgotten so it would safely make its way back to me in Paris! I am grateful for that Nir, thank you very much!

Room was well equipped but very small (there was barely enough space to open my large suitcase on the floor). I would suggest taking some elements out (like the table+chair) to make it more comfortable.

4 lovely days in Jerusalem in apartment with home athosphere.

Very good location close to Bus and Train central station, as we as the tram, which takes to in 10 minutes to the Old town. The communicaiton with the owner was excellent, very helpful and kind. The breakfast each morning was nice, unexpected "bonus". Family, home atmosfere. Comfortable beds.

The only thing I would recommend to improve was our bathroom (I do not know if this was only our case or in all the other rooms). Very small, tiny bathroom with the toilet not holding firmly, the tiles on the floor were moving too. The shower was only the type on the wall, not to be held in your hand.. nothing for claustrophobics... :-) But anyway, the stay was very nice and we would love to come again.

Free good breakfast and feel free allow to use whatever. The owner was a nice man dealing with his customers and he entertain them in a good ways.

At first,i was disappointed because small room for 3 and dirty.so i complained right away to the owner told him not happy for the room.but at least the following day he gave me an option what i like.

Cozy, quiet place to stay near the Jerusalem Central Bus Station. The host and staff were amazing, the place feels like family. Garden and outside space were beautiful. Definitely recommend.

Location, staff and atmosphere are all very good. Very convenient to train, bus and tram the area is free from traffic noise. The breakfast is very good. The espresso machine was much appreciated.

The room needs renovation and repairs. We stayed in the same room 12 years ago and nothing has changed for the better since then. The paint is many layers thick. The hand shower mount was broken leaving the shower to dangle. The air conditioning was weak and dripped water into the room. Getting hot water from the sink required turning on the shower first. There was no sink stopper. The bathroom was very small and water from the shower went all over the floor. They provide a squeegee to mop it up.

location location location, close to central bus and train station, beautiful building, lots of character, friendly people, non intrusive cats in the grounds that are very friendly too, clean and lots of opportunity to meet other travellers.

breakfast could have been varied, especially if like us, you stay longer than a few days.

Superb

Excellent stay. The host is available via mobile phone, uncomplicated check in. Location is close to the Old City and connected perfectly with a bus-hub close by. We stayed with three kids and they loved the bunk beds! Our room shared a small community kitchen with everything you need ( kettle, washing machine, fridge & freezer, small oven....). Everything was very clean! We recommend it !!! ...and will come again
