The Victoria

The decor and location of the property was very good. The bar staff were very friendly. The garden was beautiful.

We had damp in our room (room 2), from what looked like an old leak. The room smelt of mould. We put up with it because we didn’t anticipate spending too much time in our room. We were running in a marathon early the next morning which meant that we needed breakfast earlier than advertised. When we got to the hotel the afternoon before we asked if we could get a takeaway breakfast and we were told that we would be getting a takeaway of chorizo, cheese, pastries, toast, fruit and yogurt. The staff member asked if there was anything else we needed and I asked for jam and my friend asked for honey. We were told this wasn’t a problem. On the morning of the run we had 2 takeaway box’s hanging on our room door which each contained 2 tiny croissants, an apple and a yogurt. We didn’t get anything else they said we would be getting. If id have known that we wouldn’t be getting what we discussed the day before, then I’d have gone to the local shop, but at this point we didn’t have time. It was disappointing that we didn’t get what we were promised especially when we had to fuel correctly for our marathon. On the morning of checking out (Monday) I tried to get a cup of tea from the hotel so that we could sit outside because the room was very stuffy and smelt of damp. At 8:30am there was only the chef around and the hotel was all locked up. The chef was very helpful but we had to go to a lot of effort to get a cup of tea because no other staff were around.

Dinner was excellent and the Continental breakfast which was included in the price was very nice. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

My morning coffee was made from a machine, I expected a cafetière. the machine coffee just didn't hit the spot.

Welcoming and very efficient staff.. An excellent continental breakfast served in airy conservatory. Pleasant bar area for evening drinks. The room was clean, spacious with generous tea/coffee. The Victoria is in a lovely location- just a stroll from Richmond Park and lots of amenities close by.

Nice hotel, nice area, good location to visit the Natural Park and Kew Gardens.

Top importance...supernoicy due the aeroport. I couldn't sleep from 5.00am. also the breakfast is too late...had to wait from 5.00h till 8.30h to eat something and leave. The shower was clean but not well maintained..there were black stains of humidity on it. The first day, the girl from breakfast told us the coffee were free and we could ask for more than one. Next day, the guy told us we had to pay for it.
