Would stay again and recommend to others.

Lovely, warm, friendly and helpful staff. Extremely clean. The living area (kitchen/dining/lounge) is really comfortable and has a beautiful view across the bay. The kitchen was well equipped and maintained. My room was a good size, comfy and quiet - had a great night’s sleep. Location is great too.

Great space, highly recommend

Great views overlooking the bay. The facilities we’re very clean and modern and plenty of space in the colon room. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and plenty of space. The bed was comfy, private with a curtain and able to lock your luggage away.

location great. quiet! access to laundry. Those with whom we talked were very friendly.

the bed wasn't so very comfy, Rather soft. The kitchen was missing a few sizes of pans that would've been helpful.

Due to whanau leaving room keys in room, all 8 of us were unable to sleep in rooms

The staff were very helpful one lady in particular as we were having a hard time, due to whanau leaving all the room keys on the bed and locking the door.

Being locked out of room and unable to contact anyone for assistance to get into room.

OK PAIHIA

Wonderful location in the center of Paihia. Kitchen and meeting area, large and functional.

Room too small and wifi not stable. No service guard in the night. Just a telephone number for emergency.

Amazing view from the living-room and dinning room, excellent staff, top location and and very clean bathrooms, showers and kitchen.

A.C should be added, way too warm to sleep, my only complain about this place.

Top!

Amazing view, well located (1min walk from Intercity bus and boat/tours departure, 2min from the closest supermarket). The kitchen is clean and you can find everything you need, free coffee and tea. The bed is comfortable, there are lockers to store your belongings safely below the beds, and each has a light and power socket. Clean bathroom as well. Good atmosphere!

The room was nice, curtains around the bed offered privacy. Really liked this place.

The cookware was somewhat damaged and there were no lockers in the room.

EXCELLENT LOCATION, close to shops and bars. nice communal area and kitchen.

Great location, backpacker vibe

Private room had a nice old school beachy vibe with lots of windows and light Good location near wharf and cafes.

Windows in private room don’t all shut properly so could get a little cold and there’s a bit of noise from some extraction fan or something outside

Very good. Would stay again.

The beds are comfortable with a light, plug point and curtain. The common area was very nice and spacious.

The room was very hot at night and the water had in unpleasant taste.

Good location but not worth the cramped rooms and insect problem

Its central location and proximity to local amenities

The bedrooms were extremely cramped with no type of luggage storage (like a locker or anything) available, so your bags took up most of what little room was available. Additionally, they seemed to have a real bad problem with bugs - ants and flies mainly - in the kitchen. Each and every cupboard could be found to have both dead and live bugs and insects inside them

the staff were lush, got checked in early as the room was ready and the hostel has amazing views and nice kitchen

the bunk beds - if you’re tall and get a top bunk, it makes you feel like you’re in a coffin, it’s tight and claustrophobic

It’s a pity I spent just one night there because it was amazing!

Amazing position in front of the ocean and above some cute restaurants and pubs. The property was clean, the staff super friendly and they had free coffee and tea for the guests.

The room was very small (4 bedroom female room) and very hot, there is no air conditioning, just a fan that helped a bit.

Very good

Staff were excellent - we had a problem with our room being far too hot and they easily accommodated us in another room and offered us a free upgrade to an en-suite! Location is amazing, fantastic view over the Bay from the common areas!

The rooms are too hot and not well ventilated.

A very pleasant stay, a very comfortable and homely vibe in a great location.

The location is beautiful, with a wonderful view of the Bay from the spacious lounge.

Tired

Most local cafes not open until 11am so breakfast options were limited and ones open had major queues and waiting time. Only place with vacancy.

No parking available. Friends car had been stolen 2hrs prior from same place that was recommended to park. Room was equipped with fan but this just pushed around the warm air in the room so no sleep most of the night as no fresh air coming into room or on the floor we stayed on.

Great location

Haka lodge is in a fantastic location with great views over the bay. The kitchen and common space is big and clean. The bed was comfortable with a privacy curtain, light and plug socket by each bed.

There are only two toilets in the ladies so you may have to queue and be prepared for there to be no toilet paper. The loo seats also need replacing. The bedrooms are quite small.

We had an amazing stay, great atmosphere and would without a doubt stay again. Definitely recommend.

Beautiful location, right in the middle of everything. Spacious kitchen, dining and living area with amazing views. Beds very comfortable and was very quiet. Staff very friendly and welcoming.

Shared toilets needed checking more regularly, especially the tiny bin that was over flowing with paper towels. Containers to store your food in the fridge were great idea but really dirty, I just used a shopping bag.
