Lovely rural location. Friendly local pub atmosphere with lovely homemade food. Great breakfast. Hugely accomodating for us and our 2 dogs as there was a local agricultural show on and it was very busy. The hosts where so genuine and pleasant to talk to and really went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The room was clean and cosy and quiet despite the crowds from the show. Easy to walk our labrador and beagle straight from the front door. Would definately stay again.

Myself and my husband were cycling the Coast to Coast. We were looked after by Tyrone and Jennifer who made us feel very welcome. The pub is homely, comfortable, served execellent food and our room was clean and comfortable with everything that we needed. Our bikes were locked up overnight in a secure garage. We arrived feeling pretty frazzled after a longer than expected cycling day and left the next morning feeling regenerated, mostly because we were so well looked after during our stay, so thank you to you both, we appreciate the kindness you showed us.

Great location, nice & peaceful. Hosts were really friendly and helpful, made you feel welcome. Room was nicely decorated, clean and the bed was very comfortable. Evening meals were good and so was the breakfast. Would happily stay here again.

The accomodation is very tired. Also quite tight on space.
