A nice, comfortable apartment in a convenient location, around 500–700 metres from Corso Umberto, the main street of Taormina. The walk down to the centre is easy; the return is a little uphill, as is typical of Taormina, so it can feel like a bit of a climb after a long day or a few drinks!
The main bus station is also only about five minutes uphill from the apartment, which is convenient for visiting places such as Castelmola and other nearby destinations. However, with luggage the uphill walk can be a little challenging. Bus frequency is also not very high, generally around 30–45 minutes, so it is worth planning your trips accordingly.
The apartment was well suited for two people and had everything we needed, including a coffee machine, tea and coffee supplies, ironing facilities and a laundry room right next to the apartment. Although the apartment is in the basement and can feel a little enclosed with limited sunlight, the open-to-sky balcony connected to the kitchen was a great advantage — a nice place to sit, relax or dry clothes.
A particularly nice touch was the information provided by the host. Simona had explained the local transport options, and there was also a useful guide/catalogue in the apartment with bus timings, nearby restaurants and a map of Taormina, which made exploring the area much easier.
Our host, Simona, was exceptionally warm and helpful. She actually waited for us at the bus stop in the evening, arriving before our bus, and personally escorted us to the apartment and explained everything. She was very responsive throughout our stay and also helped arrange our taxi to the train station when we left.
Overall, a good stay, particularly for those looking for a well-equipped apartment close to Taormina's main area and a genuinely caring host.
A couple of things to keep in mind: the apartment is in the basement and there is no elevator, so luggage requires some effort. The uphill location may also be less convenient for anyone who doesn't enjoy walking and for elderly people and people visiting with infants/kids

We had a wonderful stay! The location was perfect, the owners were very kind and helpful, and we felt very welcome from the beginning. The place was comfortable and had everything we needed. We really didn’t miss a thing. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

Tutto,l’ambiente pulitissimo,mobili nuovi cura per i dettagli la disposizione del appartamento stupendo ,tutti i servizi vicino la responsabile Simona e il marito gentilissimi e cordiali sempre a disposizione infatti ringrazio tantissimo ci siamo trovati benissimo.
Della struttura mi è piaciuta molto forse mancava uno specchio grande in salotto ,il rumore del aspiratore del bagno …. 😅
