The location is great, really close to Porta Catania parking (which is very useful if you bring luggage) and the main town of Taormina. We were travelling with strollers, so the fact that you can get to the main part of town without having to take any stairs (it’s all a ramp), that’s great. The only stairs you will find are the ones to get to the apartment. The AC worked well in both rooms. The first day we had a little issue with one of them and the lady quickly fixed it ina couple of hours.
Hot water worked like a charm. And they provided a travel cot for our child.
The shower is very very small. Thankfully none of us is big but still it was complicated to shower nicely.
The apartment is very basic, but for a couple of nights it’s ok.
During the summer the whole apartment gets really really hot. It would be nice to have the opportunity to leave the AC on to make sure the place is cool when you come back to it, but this is not possible, because they have a special key you need to phisically put in, which is attached to the key of the apartment, so you forcefully need to remove it every time you leave. This wouldn’t be a problem if there was AC in the living room, but there is not. And the ceilings are very high. Every time you come back to the apartment , in order for everything to have a good temperature (living room, rooms, aisle), you need to blast the AC in both rooms to 17 degrees, and leave it for an hour with all the doors open, which means that for the first hour you are in the apartment every time you come back you are hot.

Great location to the centre with an easy walk to the centre. Supermarket across the road. The host was amazing with her information and recommendations. All the food suggestions were awesome and the highlight of the trip! The property was clean and tidy. Plenty of hot water and good water pressure.
Host had water and snacks which was very generous. Air con in both bedrooms was good.
When I booked I really didn’t take note of the layout (as how many things can one check) my biggest issue was lack of windows. The living area only has the front door with frosted glass. Being claustrophobic made it difficult as you just can’t see out unless you leave the door open. This then poses a safety concern. I would recommend a screen door that locks. No air con in the living area.
The second bedroom is internal. So the highlight window actually looks out onto the living area.
I wasn’t expecting a view but being able to have natural light and being able to see out would have made me feel more comfortable. Travelling as a family there are times you are in the accommodation to rest.
The shower is also tiny. It is common across Europe but this shower was smaller than the average.

Super locatie vlakbij het centrum.
Parkeergarage was ook dichtbij.
Eigenlijk niets alleen de hoofdkussens waren erg dun, maar dat is persoonlijk.
