We spent 2 weeks at David’s place and had a wonderful time. The location was perfect, we could walk to everything. David was kind and attentive. Highly recommended.

The listing is accurate. It is a studio apartment in the local area of Rome. The patio was not available due to construction, but we were informed of that as soon as we booked. Bus & metro transportation worked perfect to get us from here to the Centre of Rome. It was clean & had the best host. David met us outside the apt upon our arrival around midnight & was available the entire time. He provides detailed information to help you explore the city most efficiently! Above & beyond!
Great spot to rest your head while you're exploring Rome during the day!

Romantic Roman Paradise
David's place is just spectacular. He's thought of absolutely everything, from the beautiful bathroom and spa tub, down to the details, like the mosquito repellent wall-plugs. The AirCon was wonderful to come back to in the Rome heat, and we found his place wonderfully situated for a spin into town, a 5 min walk from the closest tram line and a 10 min walk to the closest train station. Trastevere is a great little neighborhood as well, trendy, with good food and not too overrun by tourists. Grazia, David, we hope to return soon!

Fabulous
David is a fabulous host and is meticulous with detail! From the time of booking until our arrival, David was very informative on how to get around, what to do and see and watch out for. The apartment wad very clean and has an elaborate "Roman Inspired" bathroom that might be bigger than the entire apartment! I highly recommend soaking in the jacuzzi after a long day of walking around and site seeing;) The neighborhood is in the Ostience quarter which is known for its hidden trattorias and after hour enclaves. Its in close walking distance from the metro and buses and 15 min walk from Trastevere. I highly recommend this Airbnb for your next stay in Roma!!

What else can I say other than David was absolutely amazing. My friend and I had reservations at another Homeaway for our stay in Rome, but unfortunately it fell well below our standards. We decided to start looking for a new place and we stumbled upon David's flat and decided to send him a request. It was around 8:30pm and we weren't sure if he would see our request until the next morning, but we received a response almost right away. It was around 11pm when we met up with David. He was absolutely great about accommodating us at such a late hour. He even stayed around to give us a thorough run down on everything in the apartment (any tricks we might need to know), asked us about our travel plans and gave us recommendations as well as things to watch out for, provided us with a map of all the important waypoints around the apartment (grocery, metro, etc), recommended a couple of apps that would help us with our travel, and was just overall a very warm and welcoming host. As far as the apartment goes, it's a nice little studio with a pullout couch and a Murphy bed, which are both the most comfortable beds we slept on while in Italy; a kitchen that doesn't have a lot of counter space, but the overall organization and gas stove make up for the space; a bathroom that is absolutely amazing. The bathroom is probably the same size as the rest rest of the apartment. It has a massive jacuzzi tub, a shower, plenty of counter space with two sinks, a separate thrown room, and enough floor space for Roman chariot races. As for the exterior, it has a quaint courtyard that you share with another Apartment, but it's separated by a small divider so you don't run into anyone if you don't want to. The apartment is absolutely amazing and way more than what we could have asked for. David's hospitality is one to be rivaled. On a scale of 5 stars, I give David and his apartment 10 stars. I will definitely be staying here next time I come to Rome.

FANTASTIC BATHROOM
We arrived at David's apartment on a Friday afternoon during rush hour. We caught the bus from Rome Termini, and were a bit frazzled. As soon as we stepped into the apartment, the traffic noises faded, and the cool clean roomsmade us feel welcomed. We had read that Trastevere is a vibrant neighbourhood full of ristorantes, pizzarias, live music and lots of atmosphere. We confirmed this for ourselves Friday after we got unpacked. We also found all of Rome to be very walkable. After a day or evening of exploring, it always felt good to return to the peaceful calm of David's apartment and jump into the jacuzzi. Kitchen is set up well to cook, if you wish. Grocery stores and small markets are a short walk from the apartment. All in all a great combination of being within 10 minutes tram ride distance of the many wonders of Rome, being in an exciting neighbourhood, and being able to retreat to the calm of a well appointed apartment at the end of the day.

Smooth stay
We spent 5 nights in David's apatment last week. (29 Jan-03 Feb) We were 2 adults and 1 children. Flat has everything you would need for short stay. Well connected to attractions, in a residential and genuine area so we were able to experience the LIVE LIKE A ROMAN instead of just being tourists. There is PAM and Simply superermarkets in around 100-150 mts. Flat was also clean and has starter kit like coffee, olive oil -tea etc. David was very helpful since our first contact and also guided us when we needed anything.

Great location, amazing bathroom &terrific service
When I arrived to my beautiful garden terrace flat David was there to meet me and direct me in the use of the amenities. The garden terrace was perfect for my morning coffee but it was the beautiful jacuzzi tub that attracted me to this flat. Everything I needed was supplied and the location was perfect. David also coordinated my pick up and drop off to and from the airport. A grocery store just minutes away in each direction, restaurants and cafes everywhere and the heart of Rome was a 15 minute train trip that was so easy to navigate that even a directionally challenged person like myself had no issues. I look forward to a return stay and would not hesitate to recommend this home to any traveler.

Our visit to Rome was memorable and David's little hideaway went a long way to make it that way. David was there to greet us when we arrived, taking us by the hand and leading us through the apartment's idiosyncrasies. It is pretty much as he describes it, small but well furnished and efficient, its high ceilings adding to a feeling of roominess ... and the bathroom, well, it's bigger than the rest of the apartment combined and if you like hot tubs you're in for a treat.
The apartment is below street level, leading down to a generous sized patio populated with a small forest of plants. It's airy and spacious and private, all at the same time. My wife and I found it a lovely place to enjoy coffee in the morning and a bottle of wine in the evening. The neighborhood is residential, high rise apartments all with their own terraces tower over the streets. A short walk leads to a thriving little business district with a fruit and vegetable market on one corner and a grocery story on the other and several small stores in between, including a mini-market specializing in a variety of cheeses. I think I made a few friends among the merchants who Impressed me with their patience and kindness as they dealt with the dumb American who couldn't even count his change.
The apartment is only a short stroll to the tram stop, which is a short ride to the train station. Once you get the hang of the transportation system getting around in Rome is pretty simple. I would suggest that if you're planning to stay for more than a week that you buy a 7-day metrobus ticket. It gives you access to trams, buses, trains and the metro (subway). We found it a good deal.
Our visit just happened to coincide with the last Sunday of the month, when access to the Vatican museum, including the Sistine Chapel, is free, and the first Sunday of the month, when access to sites like the Colosseum and Palatine hill, also are free.
It was a glorious and breathtaking visit and David was a kind and gracious host, quick to respond to any inquiry or concern. He's a classy guy. Oh, and the Wi-fi is lightning fast. Thanks again, David.

Trastevere, Rome
Our stay at David's place was perfect. Good location, good apartment and a great host. The instructions to get there led us straight to the apartment and we were welcomed with a bottle of wine and detailed instructions about the apartment. The apartment is like in the pictures,- clean, everything you need in the kitchen, quiet neighborhood and of course a great jacuzzi. With the tram close by, it was easy to get to the historical center of Rome as well as the best restaurants in the Trastevere district. Me and my son had a great stay at David's place and can only recommend it to everyone else. Odd Einar & Sondre

Great
David was very helpful and welcoming. He gave us a thorough explanation of how everything worked in his apartment and we had no problems. The apartment is in a great location in between Trastevere and central Rome with regular transport links. Prior to our arrival David sent me in depth directions of how to get to his apartment from the airport and gave us recommendations of places to eat, pharmacy's etc in the area & details of how to get to some of the main attractions. Very friendly guy & the jacuzzi bath was lovely.

piccola oasi a Roma

Amazing place!
Despite me being late to my appointment (got lost on public transit), David was extremely patient and very informative upon my arrival. He walked me through the entire apartment and explained how to use all the appliances and electronics. Neighborhood was mellow and there was an amazing little pizza place right around the corner. It was a good distance outside of the central tourist area, but with the tram (5 minute walk) it was extremely simple to get into the heart of the city and everything was in walking distance once you got off. David also provided train/bus routes to all the major attractions and was there to answer any questions that I had about the city. Great apartment and a great host! Would definitely recommend to friends and stay there again.
