The location, the staff and the calm
The room door insulation. You can hear a lot of noise from the hallway.
A ventilation could be useful in the shared bathroom as it gets quite steamy after a shower.

Room was cozy and clean. View from skylights was insane.
We didn't mind but others might not like shared bathrooms. They were so clean and always available so it really felt like our own

Rooms are right on the pier or facing the mountains and ocean. Restaurant has limited offerings - mostly seafood with some daily specials - all tasty.
Where to start …
1) Seems the kitchen staff is the only personnel to assist you when checking in (I expected knowledgeable personnel when arriving on Friday or even in Saturday when we had an issue).
2) in main building - nice rooms are available - but - you share bathroom with 10 other units. Maintenance clean rooms for newcomers but the shared bathrooms were not! By 2 pm, I requested a manager - no one available - again only kitchen personnel …. The bathrooms have not been cleaned for over 24 hrs ( I had 2 rooms for 2 days)… they smelled of urine, trash bins remain full since the day before…. Disgusting!
3) the available small communal refrigerator served as coffee/tea stations - large pile of over 30 cups li greed all day from the day before.
Finally by 3 pm on my 2nd day (Saturday) - a gentleman showed up - he was the hotel manager … after explaining the issues and pointing out at the problems, he immediately requested staff to clean appropriately
Honestly - this was a very expensive stay - with shared bathrooms and insanitary!
A pity - since the location is perfect!
