The sea views from our balcony were phenomenal and we enjoyed the views from the swimming pools as well.
We never had to wait long for a golf buggy to drive us up the steep hill to our room.
The breakfast left a lot to be desired. Dishes were not refilled for long periods of time from milk and fresh juices to bread and fruit (photos below). Food that was supposed to be hot was not (sausages and chicken satay) which is a case of food poisoning waiting to happen. Also, some dishes that should have been chilled were not eg. the cheese plates which resulted in the cheese melting into the dish (photo below).
The swimming pool bar was also unmanned for significant period of times leading to us being unable to order drinks or having to wait until a staff member eventually appeared.
I am unsure as to whether these issues above were due to under-staffing or inadequate training of staff.
There were only 4 shuttle buses a day down to Kamala beach.
Both swimming pools were closed on our second last day - all morning and into the afternoon.
