Landgasthof Eiserner Ritter

Das Hotel liegt in einem Wohngebiet an einer ruhigen Straße. Es gibt kostenfreie Parkplätze vor und hinter dem Haus. Unsere Zimmer waren sehr groß, mit guten Boxspringbetten und einem kleinen Balkon mit Sitzmöglichkeit. Das Frühstück: Brötchen, Aufschnitt und Kaffee wurden am Platz serviert. Eierspeisen wurden nach Wunsch frisch zubereitet. Obst, Gemüse, Lachs etc. konnte sich nach Bedarf aus einem separatem Kühlschrank genommen werden. Ebenso gab es diverse Teesorten und Säfte. Das Abendessen gab es à la carte im dazugehörigen Restaurant. Das Essen war abwechslungsreich und alles schmeckte hervorragend. Besonders hervorzuheben sind die sehr freundlichen und aufmerksamen MitarbeiterInnen (und Gastgeber Familie). Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt!

Check-in experience was wonderful. The room was spacious and looked relatively freshly renovated. The village is cute and extremely quiet, so we had a very relaxing night. Bonus points for the air conditioning (Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, so as far as I understand good stuff). Nice to have a balcony too.

We came by bike, and the hill from the river cycling path is steep. Not their fault, but good to know. The website mentions the care products in the bathroom are from a local brand called Sebamed, but there wasn't even body lotion provided. Feels like a missed opportunity. For 19€ per person and a place knows for a good restaurant, we were personally disappointed by the breakfast. There was some nice stuff (home-made chocolate spread!), but if you like muesli, the options are slim. I would have appreciated more cereals and some nuts and seeds. Finally, the cheese and sausage offered did not look as "premium" as the price made us expect. What salvaged the experience is that they made us pancakes instead of the usual egg options they offer, which meant going the extra mile. Kudos for this.
