The staff was very friendly and helpful. And the rooms were nicely furnished, but the setting and the views are the best part!

First time in MZT and the Luna Palace. We got a better room than we had booked and it was on the 3rd floor with a great view off the bedroom balcony to the ocean, two queen beds and a separate living area with couch, Smart TV, table to eat at and a well equipped kitchen. AC worked adequately but was noisy so we ran to cool down at night then shut off for sleeping. The hotel is at the north end of the Golden Zone and is a very quiet area at night so we had great sleeps. Always hot water for morning showers and all the plumbing was fairly new and up to north american standards.
We did all inclusive and it was fine. Breakfasts were hearty with an egg station for easy over, huevos ranchero or omelets, plus the side dishes of mexican dishes and tons of fresh fruit. Lunch and supper were an a la carte menu which got repetitive, however one could walk a few blocks down the street to the other Palace Hotels (Pacific, Oceano or Star) and partake in their buffet and restaurants as part of the all inclusive. So lots of good meals were had.
The staff in all their hotels are first rate, so helpful and full of energy and humour.
The pool was heated a bit and nice to relax in. The beach for miles out front was lovely sand and great for long walks.
As noted by some reviewers, the entertainment was limited but that suited us as we wanted peace and quiet.
There were lots of fellow Canucks of similar age, so good stories to share.
The bar was well stocked with a decent selection, with the Tequila Sunrise and Bacardi Black being our favorites.
As noted the AC was very noisy, but did work okay.
The Smart TV had a million channels, but we could only find 4 that had English, so difficult to watch any movies or find news.

We enjoyed the comfortable beds and room facilities. All rooms have a nice view. Staff were kind.
Hot water was dependent on time of day. Only other feedback was that pigeons nest outside on balcony ledges and as a result, eggs are hatched. They should really break up the nests as soon as they appear. The pigeon droppings are smelly and can cause issues. Also, we watered plants on balcony and they flowered in one week. Hotel should do this as most we dead.

Next to the ocean
AC doesn’t work in main room, all had to sleep in living room. When ordering food or drinks they’ll take a lifetime to deliver. Not my first time here and seems like it’s getting worse
