View, location and staff

Linens were visibly stained, some comforters were frayed. Dirty fingerprints on the wall in our room.

Love Cavos Bay Hotel

I first visited Cavos Bay in the late 90's and fell in love with the rooms with balconies that allow you to watch the sunset over the azure Aegean. This year I've returned to the hotel twice. Once with my teenage daughter and the other with my elderly sick parents. All my family love this hotel. The traditional Greek breakfasts are plentiful and delicious with homemade cakes, local jams, honey and pastries. The location is amazing, close to beaches, restaurants and hiking paths. The beds are more comfortable than ones I have in my own home> Even my almost-80 year old father found beds to be comfy for his aching bones. The staff are lovely, caring, always smiling. They are eager to please with anything from bookings to room arrangements in any way they can. The small pool is warm and has a sea-water fed waterfall. The hotel really is picturesque

There is really nothing to dislike about this hotel, except if you are an anxious driver the private road down to the hotel is quite steep.

I would stay here again for sure.

Lovely staff, beautiful pool area and outside space. Enjoyed the breakfast.

The weather! That was not the fault of the staff. The room was not as soundproof as we would like as our sleep was disturbed with partying that went on for hours in the middle of the night.There was no one at the front desk to intercede .

Spectacular views, great location, lovely staff

Wonderful time spent at Cavos bay highly recommend room with sea views. Staff were lovely and helpful with any queries.Breakfast was great, good variety of foods and drinks , breakfast staff always welcome you with a smile.

Although bathrooms are renovated they are very tight spaces, generally like that at many hotels.

Beautiful and comfortable hotel to unwind and explore the north side of the island.

Beautiful location on a cliff with ocean views on two sides. Close to a small town that has good restaurants, some shops and a small supermarket. Wonderful beaches (both developed and secluded) and stunning hikes close by.

Due to the mountainous nature of the island and the location of this hotel on the other side it takes over 1,5 hours by car from the airport. There is no public transport (at least not outside peak season) so you need to rent a car immediately at the airport. This also means that getting to sights at the airport side (like the thermal springs and the Drakonis tower) takes again 1,5 hour there and back by car.

Wonderful stay!

We stayed in a brand new studio and we enjoyed it very much. The view was superb and the terrace very large. The rest of the Hotel is very pleasant especially the swimming pool and the location could not have been better.

Perhaps the lobby and the restaurant needs a revamp as they are from the 80s but this is by no means a real problem.

I ❤️ Ikaria

The location is top notch and you can easily navigate the whole island from here. Marina was so wonderful checking us in and there was always free onsite parking available. The WiFi was good and the shower was nice and hot. The property is lovely with a small olive grove and an in-ground pool/ lounging area. We had a nice sized bed but the mattress was a bit thin. Our reservation included breakfast which was ample and nicely presented on the hotel’s balcony.

The property could use a bit of TLC. There was a large hole in the floor outside of our room and a leak kept appearing in the hallway. You learn to love these things as they are very typical of Ikaria and it’s ‘we’ll get there eventually’ attitude.

The location is excellent; close to all restaurants and amenities. I had a sea view room which was refurbished recently to a high standard. Very clean. The owner, manager and his team were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast, WiFi and services were all great! I highly recommend this hotel.

Perfect combination of comfort and authenticity!

Beautifully located by the sea in the vivid village of Armenistis, Cavos Bay is an ideal place to start exploring the island. There's free on-street parking and restaurants offering local dishes are just a stone's throw away! A traditional Greek breakfast is served between 08:00 and 10:00 and the views from the tables never get boring. The seaside rooms have been renovated and are cleaned daily. There are two swimming pools, a large one and a smaller one, and they just never seem to get crowded. A fresh water shower is available to get rid of the salt on your body.

Breakfast is simple and doesn't change from day to day, however the quality is good. Also, water pressure in the shower is pretty low.
