I liked everything. We had visited the first time just after COVID so there was only 1 pool open, now 5 years later all 3 pools are open which are all salt water. All areas are very clean and well maintained. We were even staying in the exact same room!! With sea view, beautiful. All the staff are lovely and very hard working. The food is excellent and varies every day.This hotel is designed for peace and quiet away from the town overlooking the sea and on a clear day, Libya. If you want to travel around you will of course need a car.
The only thing that bothered me was the poor WiFi connection.

Very disappointing stay — not worth 4 stars.
We spent four days at Kalypso Cretan Village Resort & Spa and left frustrated. Nowhere during booking were we told that the hotel beach is public and open to anyone, not just guests. This had a real impact on our stay: people from outside the hotel regularly came to the beach, played very loud music, and drank alcohol, creating an unpleasant and sometimes uncomfortable atmosphere with several incidents of rude behavior.
The food was another major letdown — well below what you would expect at this price point and category.
For a hotel presenting itself as a 4-star resort and spa, the overall experience simply doesn't match the rating. Between the lack of transparency about the beach, the disturbances, and the poor food quality, I cannot recommend this hotel and would not return.
