Well worth a stay.

Would definitely recommend this hotel. Great location, lovely renovated charming old hotel. Staff are helpful and friendly, hotel restaurant has delicious food, rooms are nice, bathrooms modern.

The only improvements I could possibly think of are minor. One of the light bulbs was burnt out and was not fixed. The safe didn't lock and having tissues in the bathroom would be nice.

Over all a very enjoyable and very relaxing holiday, what a beautiful area.

Location was first class right on the edge of Lake Como and close to the docking area for the water buses. We had a room with a side view which was disappointing because our view was mainly made up off a tower crane and an old hotel whose refurbishment looked to be at a stand still !! Room was small but adequate for us as a couple.

Would have preferred a room where we weren’t looking out at a building site and tower crane. Can’t really blame our hotel for that. All the staff were fabulous, only disappointing thing was that not once during our nine night stay did any off the senior staff or owners ask us how we were getting on, were we happy with the hotel, did we need and help or guidance etc etc.

Location great, service great, restaurant no.

Location was excellent. Very good service. Felt like a old fashion hotel. Cool view from the room.

The restaurant was not good, avoid. And did we really get instant coffee for breakfast (?). Tasted like that. Can't complain about the cleaning, however the cleaning crew did seem to lack standard cleaning supplies. These two things made a us feel a bit hesitant of the standard.

A lovely stay particularly the location and dinner.

The location and breakfast were excellent.

Our room was not as requested but we changed to another which was a cheaper option although the hotel gave no refund. The staff were helpful but not empathic.

It was the highlight of our European trip

There wasn't a thing we didn't like. Perfect location, Room with a view (one of the best in Lake Como), friendly and helpful staff, parking available near hotel. Food was average but there were plenty of quaint cafes around.

Hotel staff was so nice, offered a lot of great suggestions and restaurant recommendations! Amazing views from our balcony.

Getting a taxi from the Train station to the hotel was quite difficult. We arrived on a Sunday and it took over 45 minutes to get a cab. Secondly, the room itself is very outdated.

Quite simple, it is not a 4 star hotel. Starting with the room. Got a standard double, was a special day to celebrate a big birthday. Asked a lake view. Well the view was there from a window, but the room is small, quite dark, the bathroom has some sort of step to get into, which is very high. The bathroom is super small and the bin in the bathroom was not cleaned!!! The doors in the bathroom at the bottom are coming apart. As possessing it self a 4 star hotel, when I booked I’ve made it clear that I am coming to celebrate a special birthday, the hotel didn’t take it properly into account. As we changed hotels on the day of the birthday, I can compare two 4 star hotels. The other one organised us a bottle and even a hand written card saying happy birthday, this hotel charged us for a bottle and gave us a cake that they give for breakfast. Can’t complain about the staff that I came across. To be honest wouldn’t recommend to stay especially during high season for the price they charge, for the money I’ve paid for a 4 star, is not worth it.

The staff are exceptionally friendly and go out of their way to ensure you have a wonderful stay. Nothing is too much trouble and we felt like family by the end of our stay! Special mentions for Alexandro who served our drinks every night and Delia who served us breakfast amongst many other things! The hotel is in a beautiful location and is an old original Auberge so it felt very historic to stay there. I would definitely recommend.

Really enjoyed the stay and would go back.

Fantastic view of the lake from the window. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Restaurant was good.

Rooms are basic and furnishings are old. However, that didn't matter.

a lot of potential yet I leave pissed off, angry, disappointed, and never to return.

the location is great and the view is great.

the hotel is dilapidated and is badly in need of updating and repairs. the ac in the room didn’t work, the shower was comically small, the hair dryer was straight out of the 1960s, the dining room would have been tasteful if the year were 1970, and the “double bed” was just two old and uncomfortable twin mattresses put together. the front desk concierge was somewhat friendly but not helpful, and the wifi was unusably bad. for a 4 star hotel this was an incredible disappointment. this hotel has so much potential and yet it is clear that the management has decided not to invest a single euro into updating and maintaining the hotel, instead opting to trap guests through the allure of the location.

The staff was very welcoming and kind. The location is great and the rooms are very good as well. Nice view and great breakfast.

If you are unlucky enough to have noisy neighbors as we did, then you will suffer at night as the rooms are not very well sound-isolated, unfortunately.
