The staff were very friendly, even going as far as to make my mate a bacon sandwich to go as he has to leave before breakfast started. Room was comfy and the bins were emptied regularly and bathroom kept a stocked.
Ideally placed for the beach and the town centre and empress ballrooms.
Breakfast was very good and promptly cooked and served.
A little tired in terms of decor but well maintained nonetheless

Each room has a theme which is fun (ours was James Bond).
Good selection of tea and coffee and a working kettle.
Shower was easier to operate than premier inn showers!

Cheap - you get what you pay for!
Obvious blood stain on the bedding.
Missing TV remote
Door was very hard to lock and unlock, despite extra instruction given, and the bathroom had no lock at all.
The window would close, but it wouldn't seal properly which meant it was quite noisy.
Of course I was not expecting a 5 star hotel, and for the price, it was okay, but as above there were issues.
Sadly the owner was in hospital and as such, we seldom saw a soul during our 1 night stay, so we did not get the chance to order breakfast, however this was not an issue as it was much cheaper at a nearby Wetherspoons anyway.
