Everything
The lake is sensational, the Canada geese, the trees and the beautiful building… it is faultless.
I listened to a gentleman playing the piano, random I know but beautiful coming from the piano room (for guests to play.)
Nothing to not like

Beautiful grounds, lovely staff
The beds pushed together. The fact that check in is at 5pm and checkout at 11am… doesn’t give much time to enjoy the facilities as well as have dinner, given that the restaurant last sitting is 8.30pm.

It was as we imagined. A perfect setting.

restaurant was bright .
Staff were lovely, helpful pleasant and cheery.
We had to move room I took a video of our first room, it was nether clean nor adequate, the bath had a shower curtain, a hole in the back of the door where the hook had been and the door had wear marks where things had been hung. there was paint off the walls. initially they wanted us to pay £70 per day for an upgrade . We refused and changed to a different better room. Same was average on cleanliness.
we were unaware that your booking meant we had to pay to use the spa facilities. this is something not made clear o n your booking website. I booked as i intended to swim i was not prepared to pay £70 for a swim. I had no interest in the other wet facilities. We were accompanied by a friend and I removed cobwebs from her light fittings .
The interiors were tired and place long past its best. For a spa there was little fresh fruit choice, just melon or heavily sugared berries.
