Very good

Nice hotel, has a really big territory with a lot of beautiful plants, trees and green zones, I also liked a fish pond. Staff was polite and helpful. Room was a little bit old, but tidy enough and it was cleaned every day.

Breakfast could be better - not much variety of drinks and food, not everything was tasty. But overall - quite pleasant experience for it's price.

INHUMANE!!! Waste of money and mood; highly unprofessional team, terrible hospitality!

I stayed in Casa Florida Hotel & Spa for the duration 13-21 May 2023. 1. The property is beautiful, rooms are spacious and well organized. 2. Supermarket, restaurants, bus/taxi stand, public beach are all within 2-10 mins walk. 3. Reception is closed between 23:00-07:30, but the keys to the room, wifi and breakfast details are provided in a sealed envelope if you arrive during the time when reception is closed. 4. My request for late check out was accepted (but only as a 'compensation' to have lived in a stinking room for 1 week)

1. Tea kettle/cups/glasses are provided in the room, but no drinking water. No room service is provided. They don't clean the used cups/glasses provided in the room. On booking.com, its mentioned on the contrary. 2. You have to drop laundry at the reception, they don't pick it from the room. They charge MRU 50 for washing & ironing per garment, but return the garment without ironing. They don't tell you they have a washing machine that guests can use free of cost (detergent to be paid) until you discover it yourself. 3. There is a bar at reception, you can buy water there. But be ready to die thirsty if you arrive between 23:00-07:30. 4. Breakfast is the same everyday. They had 'special' Indian breakfast for non-Mauritian Indians, which was very oily & mostly it was leftover food with a new garnish. The dining area is open with birds poking into your b'fast the moment you move your eye from your plate. 5. There are no placard provided to indicate 'do not disturb', 'clean my room', etc. Deal with your own mess. 6. There are lizards, cockroaches, ants & mosquitoes in the room. 7. Receptionists are very rude & inconsiderate, restaurant servers are polite though. Kantee, the manager does a lot of sweet talk, but does not provide any solution. She simply transfers the blame to her staff & management. She also has the audacity to make racist remarks in an attempt to prove herself right. At some point, I stopped complaining coz I didn't want to be reprimanded more. 8. The toilet attached to the room was stinking badly all through the time. Despite complaining on day 2, Kantee only changed my room on my last day when the stink came up to the bedroom & I forced her to come and experience the terrible smell. 9. If by chance you fall sick, the hotel does not extend any courtesy to check on you or to ask if you need a Doctor. Feel free to die alone in the room. 10. Wifi sucks.

Great location and facilities for 2* Hotel

Staff is lovely and very helpful. Many thanks to Kantee for all her help! 😊 Room cleaned everyday and towels changed every other day

all the staff were very friendly except the reception blonde hair lady overnight on the 30th April 2023

Good

The location of the property was good and the staff were ok. There was a supermarket a few minutes walk away.

The property was definitely not recently refurbished but was comfortable and the breakfast was a bit hit and miss. There was an unusual smell from the cleaning products that lingered in the property which might be a problem for someone with asthma.

The breakfast was good. The staff very friendly. The environment very nice.

Hand towel was not provided. A hair dryer should be made available in the room. A better shower outlet to be considered. The restaurant food was not good. enough. Provision should be made for light lunch such as sandwiches

Disappointing

Staff not very friendly or welcoming - almost felt like an intruder to Mauritius. Bed broken pillows rotten Hostess introduction was so robotic and disinterested Breakfast- coconut pancakes maybe the best thing about this establishment And the ice cold cokes from the bar at happy hour.1

Very good value for money

All the staff was very helpfull and friendly, everithing was keep percectly clean.

We were not quite happy with the breakfast variety, still the same choice. Good for a few days, but not for a week.

We had a relaxing stay and would recommend Casa Florida.

The staff were very pleasant especially Kantee who went out of her way to make our stay great. The neighbourhood was quiet and with Grand Baie only a few kilometres away, it was the perfect spot for us. The pool area got a bit loud at times but as this is a family hotel, it is to be expected.

We didn’t like the standard room however management upgraded us to a superior room which was fabulous.

Staff really welcoming and friendly. Nice swimming pool. Kanti and other staff really took care of everything. A Big thank you to the mantainance guy who fix our Ac straightaway and housekeeping ladies were always nice.

Room a bit old and outdated. Leakage of sink, floor was always wet and no mop and broom given there. Shower head need to be replace. Tv setting all in Chinese language so there was no one who could fix that for us. Because of leakage of water in the bathroom area, all furniture got rotten.

Good

Really good location, quiet and close to really nice beach where you can have some street food. Breakfast was ok, not a lot of to choose from but I wasn’t leaving hungry and also for 4 days I didn’t get bored by the food. Overall I would book another stay there, but in “deluxe” rooms, because this side of hotel was new.

Toilet was really used I really didn’t feel comfortable there taking shower etc.

Nice stay, beaches close to the hotel

Nice hotel resort with friendly and helpful staff, when asked they gave us good travelling advices. The best thing about this hotel is the location - very close to the beach - just a few minutes by walk from Pereybere beach or beach which is on the right from Pointe d'Azur (go there, it's the better beach!:)). The city centre with big food market and a lot of restaurants is very close - just go to the left on the main road. Breakfasts rich - lot of bread, fruit, pancakes, eggs, ...

In the night there was a lot of noise - perhaps the air condition machines from outside or other rooms? we had to sleep with ear plugs.

Amazing stay

One of my best stay ever.The place is lovely, accomodation amazing, location excellent and personal stunning.I definitely recommend to stay there.Possible a lot of activities along with trips,suitable for families too.

Good value for money

It was very clean and liked that you could eat lunch and dinner at the premises. Close to a small supermarket so easy walk to buy essentials. Breakfast very basic but if you like pancakes and eggs you good. Enjoyed the scrambled egg with cheese.

Fantastic time at Hotel Casa

The property is baeautiful, clea and well maintained. STAFF very polite and helpful especially Kanti gave very special attention every morning. Just beach is 3- 5 mins walk or else super market (winners) is very close aswell.

Nothing .. they cud have some cultural dance or activity few evenings.. but no complain just a suggestion

Very friendly and safe hotel

The swimming area and the apartments and being able to have wash machine facilities for clean clothes, play area for the children. Cantee made us feel very welcome and comfortable.

The food is quite basic but good for the free breakfast included.

All the staff members of Casa Florida are very nice people and Mrs Kantee for sure is an asset!!!.Excellent location,nice garden,everything is close,Pereybere beach,Winners hypermarket,Restaurants etc.. .
