The design, location and cleanliness
Missing communication from staff, after certain hours the city close the streets for traffic to have only pedestrians on, I left early on my rental car one day and coming back to the hotel the police did not allow me to get in, I called the hotel and they didn’t do anything, the police officer got tired of me holding the traffic and let me in.

We are frequent guests at this property…we enjoy the room size as well as the cleanliness. Small and appreciative things , like the AC being on when we arrive means a lot to us . Fridge already on and cold is also much appreciated.
It is also the comfort in knowing that our accommodation at Casa Lucia Boutique is a constant we can rely on.
Silly little issue…we had to fight with the soap wrapper …that packaging is quite difficult to open.

The location is excellent, our room was pleasant, the AC worked welll, we liked the pool and the pool area. The staff at reception were really helpful.
The room was dark with an odd assortment of lights with switches all over the room. There were no coffee making facilities. The safe was broken.

Location; parking (at a cost); comfortable beds and pillows
Wifi was very patchy - not good for a hotel in central Merida. Very awkward shower arrangement. Cats noisy at night (and smelly). One breakfast member of staff was incredibly moody and everything seemed a chore - shame as all the other staff were lovely.
