Comfortable stay on beautiful property

The property is beautiful and lots of things to do on the property. We only checked out 2 of them because the others requires a long hike and our kids don’t like to hike too long. Food was delicious

The road heading to the property was partially unpaved and bumpy. The WiFi went out for a few hours but I expect that is normal in Costa Rica

Gute Lage direkt am Nationalpark

Sehr gute Lage um den Nationalpark zu besuchen. Freundliches Personal, Zimmer und Essen total in Ordnung. Baden im Wasserfall und in heißen Quellen inklusive.

Haarföhn hat gefehlt.

Great time for a couple of days with lots of activities

Best thing is that you can do several activities for free if you book a night there! Can definitely recommend the waterfall near the national park! Nice and friendly staff, comfy beds!

perfect start to our trip!

This was our first stop after arriving at Liberia - really easy to get to and fabulous warm welcome to Costa Rica. Only here one night but it was perfect for what we needed. The room was clean and comfortable, the site was great to wander round and breakfast buffet was decent. We arrived in time to visit the hot springs before dinner in the restaurant and next morning walked round the national park to see the volcanic mud pots and plenty of wild life. Had a quick dip in one of the waterfalls (fabulous!), grabbed some nachos and snacks by the pool and set off on the next leg of our trip.

Short distance to great hikes, waterfalls, and hot springs

The trails in the area are excellent! Hot springs are amazing. Rooms are spacious and comfortable.

Restaurants food is only ok. Activities prices are a bit steep

Great location and pool area with a nice cafe. Good restaurants and tours. Handy shuttle bus to the national park, waterfalls and the hot springs belonging to the hotel.

The WiFi was weak in our room.

Overall we were happy with trying out this region. we spent just 2 nts/3 days here and it was enough before we trave

how well maintained it was. everyone works very hard to keep everything clean, watered, flowering. staff were friendly and helpful. room was big. we loved the trails and walking to small waterfalls.

the shuttle taking us to the mud baths and hot springs drove us pretty far and made several stops to drop off stuff (no other customers were picked up and he spoke no English so we didn’t know what was happening). we arrived to our destination about 40 minutes later. the food at dinner was not good. we spent a lot of money and didn’t like it but you are very secluded in this spot if you don’t rent a car.

Very interesting and great variety of activities on the premises

Everything was available for breakfast. The possible activities were enormous: walking and cycling trails, waterfalls, Tübingen, canyoning, riding, going into the national park

Beautiful hotel with expansive property for outdoor activities.

Pleasant reception; room (Suite 62) was ready, sizeable with a large separate bathroom with bath and shower. nice amenities. Good main restaurant with buffet choices; specialty restaurant also good for dinner. Great to be able to hike on the property to visit waterfalls etc. Also great hike in nearby Rincon de la Vieja National Park. We went river tubing offsite arranged by their activity team - excellent! Thank you Santos and team! Hot springs visit in the hotel van was an experience well worth doing! Pleasant pool near reception with a little cafe attached.

Approach road could do with repairing potholes.

Fabulous, kind and helpful service at a beautiful location with tons of activities!

The breakfast buffet was a fantastic array of fresh and healthy foods, with very kind service ! We are our meals on the property in the evening, we found everything to be delicious, with tons of choices!

The waterfalls and swimming spots make this place worthwhile

Staying here for us was all about access to the waterfalls and swimming spots, which are wonderful. So many to choose from and makes a stay here very worthwhile. The room was also really quiet at night which was a great change!

The beds are hard and the food is terrible. Breakfast was ok but the rest of the food and coffee and smoothies at the cafe were really bad. Didn’t even drink the smoothie as tasted Ike toothpaste!

Great location and lots to do for couples and families. Breakfast was all homemade with handmade tortillas and fresh eggs and meat. We enjoyed the pool area and gazebos too.

Would have liked a dresser for my clothes.

We went to Rincon two hike and taking activities during our three night stay. It was within close proximity to the park,

Everything you need it for a great vacation was there. Very close to the national Park and could easily arrange any activities you want.

The property was well-maintained, it was very private, and it provided you with lots of opportunities through tours and activities.

Love, love, love this hotel. Everything was great, clean, big rooms, convenient location, good breakfast and friendly staff! Restaurant has amazing food. The lunch buffet was $25 per person. There are so many things to do around! 2 waterfalls + hot springs included with the price! Thank you, we will stay again!

Really nice stay

The hotel and grounds are very clean and well maintained. The room was huge and clean, with two balconies, hammock chair and patio furniture, and a nice view of the mountains and forest. Beds were comfortable, safe was a decent size. The TV did not work for a brief spell and one morning there was no water, but that was fixed within 30 minutes of reporting it. The fancier of the two restaurants was overrated. Grounds, trails and pool were all lovely.

Amazing Hacienda and Hot Springs

Amazing experience in nature! Beautiful hot springs also! Hacienda was lovely and showers and hammock were amazing.

Hacienda was amazing, and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful, but the restaurant experience was so-so. Food was ok, and service was fine for dinner, but our tomahawk steak was likely boiled/broiled before it was put on the grill and served to us (we could not eat it, it was that gross and we had previously had a tomahawk steak in Carillo that was amazing). In hindsight, should have listened to our server, who seemed to be dissuading us from ordering it.

disappointing

the location is great. the hotel had there own hot springs and waterfalls which are amazing. There is a shuttle that moves you around but it only passes every few hours and some of the spots are too far to walk

There is nowhere to buy healthy snacks or Water for hiking and there are no stores or restaurants anywhere near the property. The buffet is 30 dollars a person ( it’s definitely not worth it). We tried ordering off the menu the second night and the description on the menu is not what we received. we ordered dumplings with fresh bread ( we received a terrible pasta with no dumplings and no bread). when we mentioned it to the waiter his answer was to take 3 dollars off our bill. The hotel was a huge disappointment fir the price! it felt like Disney where all they cared about was getting money with terrible service!

Beautiful resort secluded and absolutely quiet. The food was great at the restaurant though the buffet could be a bit better in my opinion. Loved going to the waterfalls and the hike to the Rincon volcano

Everything was perfect. Almost a Disneyish feeling in the forest but without the prices and all natural.

Pleasant

Breakfast is good. Lots of great fruits…excellent selection. . Traditional Costa Rican gallo pinto, eggs, fried cheese, but also pancakes and chorizo. The Coffee is absolutely terrible. Yuck!

Quality of restaurant food is not good. Poor quality meat, especially the burger, flavorless pizzas with bad crust, fajitas came with far too little beans yet enough jalapeños for 7 people, terrible tasting, hard, cold tortillas every time….it can be way better.
