The hotel is incredible, the space in the room, the landscapes, the staff, the food, the ambiance. Just amazing! We had a lovely time and were able to disconnect fully! Spectacular hotel and environment.
Unfortunately our experiences was somewhat marred by witnessing blatant exceptions to the rules of conduct and safety that all guests are expected to follow. We found it very disappointing to see one particular guest smoking in forbidden areas and walking the dog around the "adults only" pool area (where it clearly stated it was forbidden), with the staff showing complete passivity.
The most serious incident occurred when the dog, which was tied to a sun bed, pulled it forcefully towards the water when its owner jumped into the pool. My husband and I had to get up quickly to stop the sun bed from falling into the pool or hitting someone. What was most astonishing about the situation was this person's complete lack of courtesy (not even bothering to apologise or thank us for intervening).
We understand family-owned properties may sometimes make exceptions for people close to the owners, but a resort of this calibre, manners, consideration for others and safety of paying guests who are charged a premium rate, should take precedence over any form of privilege.
It is a real shame that such inconsiderate and repetitive behavious should detract from an otherwise magnificent place.

Undoubtedly one of the best places to stay in the world. Staff are first class at everything they do, the facilities and experiences on offer are magnificent and all in the peace and quiet of the Tuscan countryside. Will be returning.

The consierge and staff were very understanding and helpful when we needed to change rooms due to bed arrangements and when we have to leave in the middle of the night to take baby to hospital. Thank you for that.
The beauty of the place was everything we expected.
The food was not very inspiring especially the breakfast. No choice just asked what I would like and I was in a hurry to get to the hospital so it might have been difficult for them.
