A wonderful hotel in an excellent location that exudes charm and calm as soon as you walk under the arch. Welcoming check-in which sets the tone and all staff we met were helpful, cheerful and friendly without being too invasive. Lovely decoration and furnishings throughout which was sympathetic to the age of the building but still with modern conveniences. Our room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable bed and the shower was excellent. Breakfast was very good with lots of choice and never rushed. We would happily return to Hôtel & Spa Le Bouclier D'or when we next visit Strasbourg.
The toilet was separate to the bathroom and did not have a handwash basin - no big deal during the day but a bit of a pain at night time. No mini bar / fridge in our room. Neither of these deterred from a wonderful stay but just worth pointing out.

The rooms were very nice and comfortable. Great location in Old town. The staff was exceptional. They were very attentive and helpful with recommendations. I would definitely stay here again.

Excellent location in the little France, 15mns away on foot from the train station. What I like in the room: no carpet, very large and despite the fact it's an ancient "hotel particulier " no noise and I slept like a baby in a good confortable bed.
Breakfast: a nice selection of specialities, the eggs were overcooked unfortunately, overall a very decent Breakfast.
Honestly, nothing!
