A comfortable stay in a basic guesthouse.

Room was spacious but there was no lift to get to it. The bathroom was good and the bed was also fine. The area is not attractive but handy.

It is quite expensive.

Tiny and unpersonal

Location is good

Tiny room: We had to move part of the furniture to the hallway sothat we could open our two average sized luggage. No humab being on site, but claim to be family business... sure not the atmosphere you feel in this anonymous money making machine.

Cozy hotel.

Comfortable beds. Very clean. Big TV. Nice breakfast.

Our room code wasn’t working which was a little annoying but staff solved it.

Cosy, quaint hotel in a beautiful town. Lovely time here!

It’s a quaint hotel right near pier. Amazing restaurants close-by and Gunhild was such a lovely host!

Very clean and everything is in good order. Somehow the attached bathroom is almost as big as the room itself. We saw aurora at the parking lot.

Hotel Mikael is a good place for one night stay. We also had breakfast in our booking and it was pretty tasty.

TV in the room didn't have any English channel. Only two Icelandic channels 😂

Great location near a variety of restaurants and right next to the harbour. Room was clean, simple and had comfy beds. It's a small hotel so was nice and quiet.

It was a bit hard to find. We arrived in the dark and the signage isn't great.

Very good

We were stuck in Hofn when the road was closed, due to a severe wind storm. Able to get a room at Hotel Mikael at the last minute. Room was modern and comfortable. Proprietors so friendly and helpful. Allowed us to stay in our room the second day, while we waited to see if the road would open. So appreciate their kindness. Lovely stay.

Beautiful, comfortable and lovely. A great stay.

The process to check in out of hours and comms from the owners was great and super easy. The property is decorated with great taste and you can tell that absolute care has been put into every single detail. Everything looked brand new. The room was stylish and welcoming and traditional breakfast an added bonus. Would definitely recommend it as a great place to stay.

The room was big and comfortable. We had a private bathroom which suited the purpose. Great location in central Hofn.

Superb

The check-in process was smooth and easy though we arrived late at night. Room is beautiful and cosy, bed is comfortable. Simple breakfast served which we enjoyed. We even saw some faint northern lights at the carpark!

No view, No refrigerator in the room. No elevator. loop stairs. Thin walls.

We spend a nice time in this hotel. The room was not big, but clear and comfortable, good bed, slept like a baby Good breakfast, easy access with the late arrival. Friendly and helpful staff Highly recommend
