Guesthouse Mikael was great for our overnight stay in Hofn. There is a small shared kitchen facility that people were using to make dinners, and a communal dining area/lounge. Bed was comfy and large/wide. Great pressure in the showers. We had a great burger down by the marina. The location is great and central if you are doing hikes or visits to Stokksnes or the Viking Cafe. As a tip the viewpoint for Vestrahorn with the reflection in the water (at low tide) is between Hofn and the Viking Cafe. It is not obvious - just a little pull off point and easy to pass by before realising. All of my googling led me to believe it was from the Viking Cafe side, but it isn't.
Our room was near the lounge/dining area and a group were socialising in there until later in the evening. They weren't really conscious of how the sound travels so maybe just a small sign asking people to be considerate of the close by rooms would be good.

Excellent parking.
Wi fi is unreliable. Stairway is very thin and small with small steps, very difficult to haul luggage up.
