Corte Del Gallo

We stayed for 4 nights in June as part of an extended European train trip and we absolutely loved this property! Set in a pretty garden with idyllic views over the bay, the small guesthouse has a rustic charm and a tranquil, relaxed vibe. The staff were incredibly welcoming. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful and served in the garden. Our room on the ground floor was spacious, clean and well equipped, with a patio door opening directly onto the garden. The train station is 5 mins walk and the village centre around 15 mins up a steep hill. Corniglia village has a good selection of restaurants and bars, many with spectacular clifftop sea views. It's perfect for those wanting to explore Cinque Terre by day but who prefer quiet evenings, a slower pace and exquisite sunsets!

Breakfast. The breakfast was very good. Small range of foods but totally adequate. Enjoyed my scrambled eggs and crispy bacon. The lady who served and cooked breakfast was lovely.

The misrepresentation in the Booking.com advert. Five small rooms with bathroom on ground floor of house. Limited sound rating. Toiletries were sachets of shower gel that couldn’t be opened with wet hands. Our view was a rock wall not the seaviews, they were at the fence. No minibar just a mini frig with two bottles of water front yard had unmowed lawns so was untidy. And no mention of the 50 steps from gate to front door. Not the property advertised.
