The location was excellent. Everything was excellent from the reception people to the restaurant staff. The meals and breakfast at the Angus restaurant were exceptional 😋. Being across the road for the shopping mall made it a great location. Room was clean and tidy and a good size.
The only thing I had a problem with was filling the jug in the room because it wouldn't fit under the tap in the bathroom.

Breakfast was very good, a great variety. Bed was so comfortable and room was lovely and warm when we arrived. The staff was very helpful,and was welcome by the resident parrot
Coffee at breakfast was cold but was sorted by staff.

Location across the road from the mall was great very convenient
Good play area out the back for our tamariki and a table set up for birthday dining
More towels in the Bedroom (4 ppl in the room n only 2 towels)
More pillows on each bed
Toilets in the bar area not big enough for the large crowds
Slow service to refill breakfast chaffing dishes,
Need better bigger coffee pots n hot water facilities for tea station..
Monitor for large crowds = quicker refills

Central location in Lower Hutt
Overall tired appearance. Bathroom was refurbished and clean and tidy but the room meant to accommodate two people had only one ancient broken lounge chair to sit on plus desk chair. Windows single glazed and frame very draughty on a Wellington windy day. Common hallways needed a vacuuming. Bed had no electric blanket and room heating depended solely on an inefficient fin oil heater.
